SLEEPING ON A LAKE & EPIC ICE FISHING TRIP !!!! (Labrador) **Ice fishing tent turned into a hot tent

In this video my son Andrew and I set up a ice fishing tent that we have turned into a HOT TENT and spend the night right in the middle of a lake!!! We take a snowmobile ride or two, visit a nearby pond, and catch some beautiful Splake. Then, we come back to our tent on the ice, cook up some delicious meals on my brand new glass front tent stove, and then catch some huge lake trout right from a hole on the inside of our tent setup!!! It all added up to an epic overnight ice fishing trip out in the middle of a lake!!!

I'm a bit Surprised that you of all ppl haven't Seen these stoves before. Wish I could afford one of them, if I could though this model would be the one I'd choose. The open window ONES are always a bit more money but Definitely Worth it. Plus Not having to put it together is A Huge plus on these types. My Camping stove is like that, folds down but pops Right up, No Stupid pins or rods. Great video thanks.

I always look for a better tent stove. I built them over the years too. But I always wanted a good one that was durable and would rust/burn out in a few years. I saw this one and the glass front was just the icing on the cake. I’m so in love with it (in case you couldn’t tell!😂). Good to hear from you as always 👍

I'm sitting here thinking what to say about this - there's so much I could say... Lemme try... I'm corrections, so I'm not at home staying safe - in fact where I work we're all a little stressed out these days... but, man, your video reminds me of better times and took me away from it all. I can't thank you enough. Secondly, the guy who rolls out moose steak and bannock never has to apologize for turkey bacon! Lol! Thanks Josh. We have found that spending time outside together is the very best way to handle these days. We spent the day out in the woods today with our snowmobiles and chainsaws cutting wood. We had a boil up and enjoyed the beauty of the day👍

As a boy, I lived in Schefferville and Labrador City, and these memories still live strong within me, along with the lessons I learned in the bush. Things are so different in the world these days....seeing others now almost feel like a threat....even seeing friends is strange now as you just can't communicate.....I spoke to my favourite cabin buddies from out on their front lawn while they stayed inside....normally we would be together most of the time....needless to say I am waiting for it all to settle down as well....lets just pray it's not too too long into the future👍

Me and my son eat turkey bacon all the time. I like real bacon better and my favorite is applewood bacon but turkey bacon is also good and cheaper. You two have caught some pretty good looking fish but I don’t think I would want to set up a tent on a frozen lake especially with a burning stove going. You got more guts than I would have. I like the ice fishing set up ,myself I'm looking at the nuwave propane stove those are a vented stove ,vents the moisture out could save a person a lot of work cutting the wood and feeding the stove all night, not sure if a person can cook on them would be ideal if possible

We do wear our helmets when we are on the groomed trail system, driving alone, when the snow conditions are harder, or on longer trips. They aren’t required under law here but we still wear them most of the time regardless👍

Wow , stepped up the fishing this time on this overnight father & son trip. Thanks for bringing us along.Beauty stainless stove, but thinking usually wood needs to be on coal to keep good fire going;with the grill plate at the base does the coal fall through??Smart cut👌🏼 on that moose steak, i will try( dan)

The coals stayed above the ash rack no problem....only the finer particles sifted through....really works well👍

Another great video. I love my Winnerwell stove and happy to see you found one, too. That glass front does make all the difference and the top being completely flat is why I didn't go with a competitors stove. -Steve

I always look for the ultimate tent stove, and I really think I have it with this one. I meant to mention the fact that you have the 949ig but it slipped my mind in all the hustle and bustle of the trip. Thanks for tuning in again👍
