What a response....what gift! ✨️👌🏻 Epic video on all levels. Thank you🙏🏻 Big respect and all the love from another couple of bike riding dreamers here in the UK.
Hey Julian, I'm currently watching this epic trip to Europe and I'll tell you right now that I'm completely amazed, not only by the quality of the editing, photography, etc but also by the storytelling skills you have, just wow mate! The only word that came across my mind is: masterpiece! Congrats dudeeee!! Cheers from Portugal
My bro thank you so much! Really appreciate that feedback and your constant support, I've poured a lot of my life over the last couple of months into this series so it really means a lot 🙌
What a video... some epic footage and even better editing. I've done something similar through Switzerland, Germany, France on my Hyper and the constant worry of the tail bag melting on the exhaust was a pain!
Thank you so much bro and yh its definitely a pain with high exhausts 😅 (usually mine not only melts my bags but also the inside of my leg but luckily for this trip I had motocross boots on which helped massively). Surprisingly though this bag held up so well, literally the only damage from the whole trip was what I showed in this video, if you remember from my wales trip the same thing happened with a different bag and it melted a massive hole into it.
Very nice! Everybody’s dream on 2 wheels! Great editing! Btw The inventor of the saxophone is Adolphe Sax😉 Looking forward to the rest of your journey…👍
Really enjoyed the video, looking forward to the rest of the series. Calimoto took you the longest way possible 🤣🤣🤣 You do know that's kind of the point of Calimoto right? 🤣To go via the twisties and stay off the main roads! That said, you can tell Calimoto to use motorways or major roads but not motorways, for each leg of your route. But if you're not looking to ride interesting back roads and instead just get from A to B quickly then do stick with Google Maps or Waze. But great video, great filming and editing, looking forward to more from you 👍
Hahaha I know I use it quite a bit in the UK and its fine, in this case I didnt want to take motorways either but it kept taking me through small towns and villages every 10mins which massively slowed me down and the roads weren't particularly great, not to mention that at one point it took me to a closed road due to road works (i know its not updated live so i dont blame it for this) but then when i turned around it took me on a 30min loop just to take me back to that road closure 😂😂😂 In Belgium at least, I actually found that Google maps with motorways deselected worked much better
Caio is an old friend of mine, watching from his share, amazing content and look forward to future episodes. Can’t say I am not jealous of your trip and choice of motorcycle, I am on a triumph 900 for now.
Thanks for watching the video and appreciate you checking it out from his share! Yeah Caio is an awesome guy and has been super supportive, crazy to think that this came about from me coming into his dealership one day to buy a bike! Also the Triumph 900 is awesome, assuming its the scrambler 900?
Pacing, narrative and production value is top tier. The shutter establishing shot is just 👌🏼love the unique story telling, the fact you took such an epic window of opportunity during this moment in your life and are actually sharing it with the world, is killer. This is such an inspiring video mate and it's only the first episode! Amazing work as always, can't wait for the next one. 🙌🏼🔥
Chimay and Gedinne welcome (amongst others) the Classic race in July and August respectively. 3 days of classic motorbikes racing on otherwise open roads. Gorgeous. Gedinne, the most spectacular, is sometimes dubbed the "Belgian TT".
Damn looks like I literally just missed it then as this was filmed at the end of July. But thanks for this info, have made a note and hopefully will come back to check it out at some point in the future 😎🔥
Awesome I think I might have to go back and just do a brewery tour although not sure how that would work with riding a bike haha. But yeah I've drank Orval before and agreed its a great beer 💯
I hope you are editing after your journey because I don’t think I would want to be camping in Europe during autumn. I was fortunate to spend 5 years working in Europe on major projects in The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark and after getting back onto two wheels in 2020 after 37 years without a bike, I made sure that my bikes ended up in Europe with me. The roads are pretty good in most places and I have taken on some epic rides, 5 countries in one day from Munich to Northamptonshire around 830 miles in 15 hours, then another journey of a similar mileage from Odense in Denmark to Northamptonshire in 19 hours. Those journeys were on a Triumph Tiger 900 rally pro, which was traded in for a speedmaster now that I am back in the UK. I think next year I need to set up a block of time and do a big European loop
Haha no definitely not editing whilst on the trip I'm back in the UK now and mate that sounds intense 830 miles in one day is A LOT, I do not envy you but hats off to you! And you have to organise a trip next year, there are so many amazing spots around Europe worth visiting 💯
Wonderful adventure! I am riding to France this Friday. Just for a weekend this time, but I will try a part of TET. Which map did you use on your phone?
So throughout the trip I used Calimoto, Google maps and Waze with Waze being by far my favourite I just made sure to select to avoid motorways. Having said that for the TET you'll want to have a custom GPX file which you can use in something like Gaia or OsmAnd
Goad trip , like the plan. Send your boss a thank you card. Personally I don’t like Calimoto but each to their own. I’ve git an XE that I took to the Balearic Islands via France and Spain a few years ago. A bit envious of your luggage what is it please.
Thanks really appreciate it. The Balearic Island look amazing, I've never been but will definitely have to visit them one day! I'm kind of with you when it comes to Calimoto on occasion I use it in the UK but not the biggest of fans of it although I decided to use it at the beginning of the trip (until I had enough of it haha) since I didn't want to be planning every route exactly to the tee and so preserving the element of surprise and discovery. Also the bags are the Waterproof Motorcycle Travel Bag from IronJias who are one of the sponsors of the trip and in all honesty I'm massively impressed by their quality and especially the fact that they're genuinely waterproof. I don't get anything out of it as it's not an affiliate link but I've got the link to their website in the description if you want to check it out 👊
@@dream_o2wwatching from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 An ex Englishman 👍👍 I own 2 triumphs a Trophy SE and a T120 gold line. Also own an Aprilia Mana and an Indian Chieftain. I travel and camp (sometimes) when I ride thru Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington in the USA. Looking forward to,watch the series Boogie Man 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very jealous and was in a similar situation recently only I had just bought a house that needs a massive renovation so have tackled that. Soon I will go 2up touring on my New Old K1200s BMW and probably stay on road. Something I have always wanted to do forever and life is to short. Have you cruise control fitted? Stay safe….
Go for it! As you say our time here is short and its so easy to get caught up in our everyday lives where we lose track of what we're really here to experience. And technically my bike has cruise control but it doesnt work so I did the whole journey without it 😅
Well edited! Been working on my own riding-channel for a couple of months now and I know the work and effort it takes to make such video's. A like and subcribe from me for that!
Thank you and thats awesome to hear, bro it definitely takes up a lot of time but if it's your passion then you got to go for it man! Looking forward to seeing some of your videos 🔥
@@dream_o2w that's right! Currently don't own a bike because I sold mine a couple of weeks ago but will be picking my new Triumph Tiger 1200 (2013) in march. There ain't so much content on it yet, but working on it. My channel below: youtube.com/@dutchridepov?si=Qn77i3U-Sc8uswvE
