It’s funny how when someone values one at 35k they will ask for 35k. Like dude, he’s gotta store it, pay to shoot it, pay employees... every last person breaks balls for the exact amount of the highest value lol. Rule for pawn shops: take what you want and half it... now take that amount and half that. That is more then likely what you’ll be offered and welcome to the world of pawn shops.

The fact is the buyer isn’t the only one taking a risk: the seller takes a risk that she is getting a reasonable price; that the buyer has made an accurate and honest assessment of his return and margin. It’s a risk because the buyer is not likely to follow up with the seller if he has made a massive under-assessment, say paid $1000 for an item he subsequently sells for $50000. (The exaggeration is deliberate.)
