I think it becomes an issue when they're in a situation where there's really no chance of them winning, and then they somehow manage to survive or beat the situation.

Not dumb actually. If you can punch at the right spot with the right amount of force you can cause concussion resulting in knockout. This will work because human brain floats in a bath of cerebrospinal fluid. When you punch someone their head will move and stop but because of inertia their brain will keep moving in the same direction, the sudden stop of the head will cause brain to hit the skull causing concussion. It's like going fast in a car and hitting break hard even if the car is slowing down your body wants to go forward. Another example is if you put a raw egg in a metal can/box than shake it really hard the strength of box doesn't matter because shell of the egg will crack.

Like José García said, maybe his skin is indestructible but his internal organs are not. The force of the hit can travel through tissues and provoke internal damage such as bleeding. They could have used it to kill him, like hitting his head with a hammer until he gets head trauma. This is why a street fight is so dangerous. You can black out, hit the concrete with your head and die afterwards.

I get that internally he is not invulnerable but they were shooting him with high caliber bullets and such. That would do more damage internally than a punch I'd imagine. And he was hit by a car and was still fine.

This has to be my favourite fight scene ever, the punches feel powerful and beefy, the power dynamic shifts multiple times and butcher won due to being smarter. Plus the song matches butchers introducion better than anything else.

I'm wondering if they ever realized that they could have also killed him with enough blunt force trauma. its like knocking someone with a helmet around enough to where the brain keeps banging against it till the damage is irreparable.
