Lil tip- when you get a fish on swing the downrigger booms into the gunnel. that way when the fish get close to the boat you don’t lose it in the downrigger gear

Hail and Good Morrow from WY! Thank you for a SUPERB fishing video....WONDERFUL eating for quite a while laying on that table! I wanted to let you know that the Thumbnail Pic of your video was showing BLANK GREY with the 3 dot Elipses in the middle..... On my end, still trying to recover from the thorasic spine problems, back when I knocked myself out in April...major cervical spine probs for me, and to add 'insult' to injury, I'm afoot once again, having to Hitchhike to town. No work for the last 3 months, but for the first of that 3 months, I couldn't have work anyway. Still have grub in the house, won't lose Internet for a month yet, got money for elec., but things are looking iffy on Nat. Gas, but we'll see....still above ground, so everything IS good, and the Lord continues to bless me; had a guy I used to sell wood to come by yesterday and buy some odds and ends, which is why I'll still have elec. Keep fishing like you did in this video and you'll be eatin' FINE all Winter long (it's already Fall here in real terms, been that way for nearly 3 weeks in the early mornings!).......hopefully, you can score some quality Halibut for even finer eating! Give the missus my best, rub the tummies of the Furry Children (all 10 of mine are still good and causing trouble; felines will be felines, outside ferals are growing like weeds) for me....and keep enjoyin' your lives on water! Oh yeah, don't forget that Bear Fat makes some GREAT Lamp Oil, which you can SCENT with various aromatic flowers and herbs! Bear meat stew is mighty tasty as well! Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY

Back in the late 70s and the early 80s the Coho used to come in I think it around the beginning of May or the end of May every year and used to go out there and just slay them they didn't get all that big you're lucky to get a 10 pounder but they're very good eating and you can limit out in no time and you didn't have to use no deep lines just you could even use a bucktail but they were always they don't come in like that anymore I don't know why I never hear of them doing that anyway and they're right close to shore too

I had to quit salmon fishing because I got a chronic tend to say this in both arms surgery and radar never worked to this day over 20 years I can't pull wrenches anymore and that was my best job favorite hobby worked on cars motorbikes all my life now that salmon officials all deep line fishing not like when we fished all you had to use was a deep 6 and didn't have to wind in that much line but there's no way I could wind in three 100 foot of line now they got electric reels I used to go out in big storms in just a 12 foot 10 boat because it was easier to get on the trailer and storms just drive it up on the beach our bigger boat you always have to hold it from the rocks because it was fiberglass it was a good boat double eagle good for storms but it's just landing your boat with the hard part so I just went back to the 12 foot aluminum boat but had to stop I don't like eating salmon anyway I like smoked salmon that's it but I love my cod and my black seabass
