im truly amazed by their passion and excitement for games. they just keep on being creative. what amazed me is the amount of exaggeration that comes from people. "oh you need a team of over 5000 people to create a game like assasin's creed, oh you need at least 5 years of development to create any online game' next thing you know they employ some 1000 people only half of them complete them in under 2 years. i'm inspired by them.
You gotta love how editor used classic Unreal music. The tracks that are playing are "End Title" from original Unreal, and "Unreal Tournament Menu" (dubbed Title in the next games) from - you guessed it - Unreal Tournament. All hail Alex Brandon and Michiel van den Bos!
Yeah, you never quite realize it, even when you drive past it. I only knew it was there because I have a friend who works there and I'm considering applying for a job there early next year. But I lived right off of Crossroads, right around the corner from it.
He didn't leave, he just took a break, but there now in the making of another gears of war for the next gen console. It's gonna be about the pendulum wars with Carlos Santiago (brother of dom) and Marcus fenix. If you've ever read the novels you'd know.
Wow that Marcus statue. If you could replicate Clayton Carmine holding the machine gun, and choking a Locust with the other I swear I would save up for that.
I'm disappointed because Epic Games didn't make Jazz Jackrabbit statue instead of that we see Marcus Bust.I will miss the 90's even Cliff Bleszinski,Nick Stadler,Alexander Brandon,Dean Dodrill,Andrew Sega,Robert Allen,Nando Eweg as former Epic Games employees fortunately Arjan Brussee returned to Epic Games.
They didn't show a single thing about their actual development studio. It was practically all about their art on their walls. They don't have to give away any company secrets. Just show us the development rooms, the programmers, the artists, and a screen or 2 of what they might have on their computer screens on a typical day. (Probably the Unreal Engine...just my guess :P)
***** I totally get the need for controling sunlight especially when working with computers. If I were choosing an office I would have one without so much light for example the Giant Pixel studio in San Fran
I've lived in the Raleigh/Cary area for about 12 years. That seems like a common design of the offices in the area. Which is weird to me, because the summers are brutally hot.
Iv'e always wonder, do the CEO's/Main Managers actually make millions? Because lets think about it, you have to pay for the Software, PC's, Employees, Promotions, Rights to sell on consoles/PC, Electric, Food, Office space, Flights, Hotels, Distribution and so much more. Now a game like COD makes around $1 billion each year, minus all the costs how much do they really make in profit does anyone know?
@@googleslocik legend. So what do you think about epic games? Fortnite in 2018 was the best gaming experience for a lot of people. Hey you might hate on me but i'd do almost anything for old fortnitr
Damn i just wasted my life :p This work places are awesome. I should stay at university and then put 100% effort on learn GameDeveloping. (Something im doing by my own with Unity and Unreal). Every studio tour i see gives me more and more "i want to work there" sensations haha
one day i hope that the guys at epic can can go beyond gears of war (i still LOVE the game(s) btw) and try and create a whole new trilogy or even a single game. it just seems to me that they might just be relying the the success of the gears games. none the less, i do love gears of war but please make something new plssss :)
Hard to believe they can have a game (Gow 2) that is seven years old which still has a profile corrupting glitch. Literally on the last level/last checkpoint and it quit. Won't start up, had to reset all my achievement progress. Even though I downloaded the latest update for the Backwards Compatibility on Xbox one and the forum staff assured the community as far back as 2011 that the splitscreen glitches would be prevented. Will not be buying any more games from this studio or the narcissist Cliffy B.
