windriders indeed seemed super underwhelming this game... but the way you defended for so long barely hanging on and in the end clutched it with the lich burst was fantastic. also loved how the raider came in just in time to ensare the DK. Amazing game!

That raider swooped in to save the day. It always seems like having 1 or 2 of those guys is well worth it. Even earlier, it could prevent so much hit and run from enemy fliers.

so glad I've found your channel. I grew up playing wc2 and loved wc3 though i was always terrible at it compared to pros. Regardless I absolutely love watching high level gameplay with the seemingly never-ending situations that can emerge amongst the strategies different players come up with. just wanna say your comments about being a teacher resonated so strongly with me because I also am super passionate about how things are explained for very similar reasons and hearing you share this sentiment felt super vindicating. Wish you all the best dude, the content you create here inspires and teaches all kinds of things and I think you're absolutely on the best path you could have ever taken.

@Grubby, The first game you invested too much into Tier 1 units. So you missed a lot of power in the mid/late game. The only way to play WindRiders is to skip the Barracks/Grunts/HHs ENTIRELY and rush those WindRiders. You do this by teching Tier 2 ASAP, building 2 Beastiaries as soon as your Tech finishes, and then producing double WindRiders nonstop. (Until 50+ population). Then you either Upgrade Attack/Armor and Tech T3 for a Tiny Great Hall Expansion OR you just keep massing and try to end.

I would say this is grubby playing grubby style with a unit comp he seen lyn use. He certainly didn't emulate lyns play throughout the game. tiny greathall expansion is a big part of that build 3 control groups to pre split as combat starts. 2 raiders with main army post 10 minutes. etc, many differences.

Grubby if Pitlord uses cleave and under vamp aura. Does he get life steal from all units or just that one. I was playing him with lvl 3 vamp aura it was a lot of hp gain from hit.

It works when u have enoguh numbers of wind rider for burst damage and wolf rider as utility. It really like ud supernova coil, but orc style

I'm impressed on how strong the stacking poison damage does on a target, almost as strong as a single-target nuke.

When you rated windriders in tier D, i truly shutttered. They are so good! And fun to play with 😊

So many means were justified that day. Also why didn't the Lich get the Orb of Corruption instead of the DK? Like I guess it ends up being the same against air but I thought UD always gave it to Lich since it attacks much faster.

I don't understand why undead players dont use crypt fiends against air. After the ghoul frenzy buff they seem to forget that fiends exist.

grubby didn't really use the ESSENCE of the windrider strat used by Lyn. i think Lyn realized that you cannot trade short or long with undead. so he avoids nearly any trading, and just all-ins the undead in 1 final fight with mass windriders+bats. so how can he force undead to all-in? by making an expo and fight there. grubby didn't really use any of this.

Could be wrong but I feel like most strategy pro gamers have to be smart. But I guess there are different types of intelligence. But honestly, just the way Grubby expresses himself makes me think he's anything but stupid ^^.

I think this would have gone better for you if you had taken a 3rd expo while he was running around. Then you would have reproduced a lot faster and overwhelmed him.

At the age of 18 I left the United States behind and a scholarship to a top 5 in the nation college in soccer to pursue a professional career in soccer. I had no interest in going to class I just wanted to be a professional footballer. From wake up to go to sleep football was my entire life ( in my dreams too 😆) The MLS ( Major League Soccer ) offered me multiple opportunities to play in their league at the age of 18 but I declined as I was hell-bent on playing with the best footballers the world had to offer. Messi was in his prime at Barcelona and Ronaldo in his prime at Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid noticed my " talents " and offered me a spot in their camp at the age of 18. I knew not 1 word of Spanish. Moved to Spain by myself and lived there pursuing a contract with Atleticos first team. Not to toot my own horn but it was rare anyone else was superior to my skills as a footballer when I stepped on the field. I was incredibly fast 4.4 40 yard dash time. Ball stuck like glue to both my feet when I dribbled. You could not tell which foot was my dominant foot as I used both equally. My vision/passing was impeccable. I was more of an assist player setting other players up for success but was also a marksman around the opponents goal. I excelled in 1v1 dribbling. My position was attacking offensive center midfielder. I was in Spains Marca magazines. Long story short, Atletico Madrid sat me in their office one day and said you can have a spot on our team if you can find a working visa. I did not have any family members that ever lived in Europe so I was unable to obtain a working visa. My dreams were crushed and down I tumbled into a deep dark depression that I never recovered from as far as a footballers career. I was offered a 600K 1 year contract to play in Saudi Arabia but I declined. Regret my decisions I have but have since moved on. My heart was set on playing vs Messi and Ronaldo and didnt settle for anything less. My friend on the team Ignacio Camacho's first first team start was against Barcelona at home and he had to mark my favorite player of all time Ronaldinho. He completely shut Ronaldinho down that game. I have many regrets but have since moved on with my life. Lost in life for a very long time I was. Football was all I ever knew. I was an extremely motivated fierce competitor that feared no one. I see those characteristics in you and that is what has drawn me to watching endless videos of your craft Teaching is a highly respectable " job "
