Good stuff, my kids are similar in age and always enjoy your videos! I live in Eastern Oregon and every year tell myself I’m going to travel down and try the wind. You mention getting stuck in the shallow water, and I’ve read where it’s pretty bad this year depth wise and other boats are having trouble as well. You should consider mounting a camera on the bow of your boat and videoing your exit into the Columbia so people who have never fished it have a general idea of the path needed to exit safely. Keep up the videos!

Just be respectful of us bankers. Again I'm a woman fishing the bank for years. I have caught fish in the toilet bowl, The Wind, and I grew up on the Klickitat River fly fishing. I'm not saying you dont no what your doing, but olease respect are craft on the bank. Thank you

How do you gage what depth your at? For example I have a rod with a 12 oz weight and 10 oz weight. How do I know know how deep I truly am with current/ drag? I do have a weight counter reel…

The salmon are now staked up at the Klickitat and up in the river. All of the salmon spots in the lower Klickitat are loaded up with salmon now. The first river run now is chuck fill of salmon I see when I passed over it the salmon scattering looked like from a fish hatchery pond. I set anchor at the top of the run then started to feed line out with a wrapped K-16 and as feeding it out a boil on the surface and it was fish on with the 28-pounder taking the plug just under the river surface. The next fish was at the time I fed back out the K-16 and clicked over the reel then the plug started to work and fish on! When leaving I troll spinners down river before the Highway bridge then caught 2 more! I feel that so many salmon are stacked there if I kept fishing it would have been more hook ups but catch and release is a danger to salmon with way too many die.
