Epic New Case Design | MSI Maestro 700 Case Review 

Going for aesthetics on the bottom of the case, which no one will see, instead of an accessible dust filter. GG MSI, GG. 😂

I ordered this case along with the MEG 1300P 1300W power supply a couple of weeks ago from MSI. I have all the rest of the components (Z790 ACE MAX, MPG CoreLiquid D360, 3x140mm Phantek fans, 4x120 Phantek fans, 3 SSD drives and 192GB 6800mHZ RAM) all waiting for MSI to ship. Edit: Shipped today :D .

That's a very nice case, the thing that sticks out to me is just how much room there is on the back side of the motherboard. I prefer big cases!

The curved glass is cheap, I looked at curved glass aquarium factories in China a while back, probably less than $10, an fish tank that size with two curves was under $20 with pure white premium glass. The single piece of aluminum is probably expensive if you factor in the tooling costs considering this will be a low volume case given its price.

Damn. I love this case. but to be $400 and not have things like cable tie downs, grommets, or easily accessible dust filters, is kind of crazy to me. I'm not not sold, but I'm not sure I can convince myself to spend that money either.

It looks like a copy of the Jonsbo D300 only more expensive, also the Jonsbo comes with fans

Really wish the case fit a 420mm AIO radiator on the top

MSi has the worst warranty for gpu cards... Only problems and top end msi gpu 4090 has cheapest pcb inside. IT is proven by Krissfix Gpu.

Some terrible choices and straight up lacking features for the price. I like the design but needs a lot of refining.

A work mat for your dolly / table would prevent scuffing

This is a much better attempt from MSI but looks very similar to the Montech King 95, don't suppose you've looked at that one yet Tom?

Price on Amazon today is $381 (+ 10x fans). They could just make the curve out of acrylic and the bent frame out of steel for $150-$200+ less. haha. And dust filters screwed under fans? But I guess it's a cool...computer box. It's so black that it is hard to see how sophisticated it is. Amber glass or a lighter tint might have been a better choice? And the triangles make it look like a Corsair. Hmm. Not like it will see much daylight. Will people place that huge thing on their desks for display, you think? lol I guess it is good for celebrity builds? Maybe MSI is jealous of Hyte and Fractal. To paraphrase what you said, the only bad thing is when you have to use it. 😆 Is it worth $270 more than a black Antec C8 Constellation? But, nonetheless, thanks for the great review! :)

think this might be my next case for my next pc, currently my case is still the ol cooler master haf x since 2011, i remember linus unboxing the haf somewhere outside in a park over a decade ago lol.

Rubber grommets for every hole and it would look tighter, not like a strainer. That glass bending is not ugly but could have been a little wider. At 400, it takes at least grommets or complete set of fans, sad for that part.

I somehow missed out on this case when it was announced!! I'm really impressed by it, after just seeing it on sale for the first time.

So basically the glass looks good but the overall value is terrible.....classic MSI

Nice one Guv, and yes that case is smexy, TBH the first MSI case that I thought was worth having is their MEG Prospect 700R, which I own and must say is an Amazing case!

I liike the look the only thing is the extra steps for filter cleaning some magnetic filter on the bottom would of been a simple fix

Cracking review. I hope they take your criticisms onboard and make a second version worthy of purchase.

Quality manufacture with some strange design choices that shouldn't have made it to beta. Really, cases need to have a dozen BUILDERS of various skill levels to put them together in a dozen variations at least to get shot of the construction bloopers. Especially to make sure it will accomodate YOUR OWN RUDDY KIT. Having to mix 140mm and 120mm fans? I'm afraid it fell over for me right there! The rear looks 'orrible; more so when you put the glass back and I had to look at it butting up against that that '386' plate (I'd want 'AMD 64'; but that is just me! 😇) £350 spondoolies would be fine but the niggles just make it an unfunished waste. I actually agree with your award, Tom, weirdly. BUT that just magnifies the niggles enough into to "Throw the fecking thing across the room in frustration" territory. Look, clowns, if you don't know what the feck you are doing, at least give Roman, Steve, and Tom a look BEFORE you finalise the thing. As it stands, you are just going out of your way refusing greatness with this case.

Jonsbo TK 1 and 2, dual curved glass and 100ish pounds.

it's 386? that'll barely run Doom.

I do have a question regarding the top panel connections. The cables from the USB 3.2 pins on the MB to the USB 3.2 ports on the case seem to be missing from the accessory box for the MB and the manual for the case does not show them included. did you have to buy them or are they included now it is shipping.

Coming from lianli cases like the evo rgb, evo xl and the evo vision this case is ugly and no were near its compititors. :)
