One of the greatest era. Yes. But I hate it when people underestimate the current era of MS Badminton. I mean, It's true that we don't see a very tight rivalry in MS nowadays. But that's because Momota is just way too good against the other top players, But that doesn't mean that the MS today is not as good as the time of Lindan and LCW. Look at the top 8 in MS, They are all equally good (except Momota, he is obviously a class above the rest) Viktor - a very versatile player, good at trick shots, retrieving and attacking Antonsen-- he is almost following the foot steps of Viktor, but at such a young age, He has already proven that he is more capable than people can expect from him Chou Tien Chen, a late bloomer, with his consistency and great physical endurance, he is also a great player to be around, (not to mention, he DOESN'T HAVE ANY COACH, yet he still manages to compete in the top) Ginting - Well, he is such an all rounder player, attacking, defense, Speed, deception, etc. Chen Long, he is literally the veteran player in the group, but he still keeps his games steady and consistent, If you look into these players. I don't think they are far from the greatness of the players from the past.... To be honest

@@_RoseDawson_ It was a great era because we had two players competing head to head at their highest level, that defined the greatness of that era. Momota is very good, no doubt, but we haven't had players push him consistently. Shi Yuqi had the potential to make it a very compelling rivalry that could define this era, but it was unfortunate he got injured. The others don't have the consistency nor the mental fortitude to make an era defining rivalries. I like Ginting's playstyle a lot, but it seems Momota can just outlast him nowadays, the rivalry is getting predictable on one side, even though it is still a very exciting match. This applies for LD-LCW's era as well, only LD and LCW was special, the rest very good but not at that level. So I think an era is defined by compelling rivalries, not just purely by the quality of players. Momota is very high quality (even though I think he isn't as strong in his attacking play), and if he had a stronger opponent, we could have a greater era currently. But no, not at the current state, this era is nowhere close. Hopefully Shi Yuqi recovers soon to make it more interesting.

Yes, I only got tears in my eyes after seeing the 2016 Olympic final just think how Lee chong wei would have felt but win or lose sportsmanship always loves

It broke my heart after he was beaten by Chen Long. The 3rd try must have the biggest heart break of his career. For us viewers and fans, silver is not bad. But for them, claiming a championship or the Olympic gold medal is the ultimate price for their hard work and perseverance. 12 yrs in the making, yet, he ended up second best. This is the sad story of Chong Wei’s career but I still admire him no matter what. A huge fan here!

I think Lin dan doesnt play like he used too on that rio, i dont know. Seem like he already predicted chen long to win the final.
