Epic Road Trip: Florida to New York on an SV650

My 2007 SV650 was nearing 100,000 miles, so I wanted to do something great whenever that moment came. Planned a trip from Jacksonville, FL to New York, visiting and staying with friends and family along the way. 3 hours and 15 minutes of footage reduced to 6 minutes.
The theme for this trip? Mechanical issues, not knowing where I'm going, tolls, poor driving, and RAIN.
Stops on this trip: Goldsboro NC, Massanutten VA, Mannassas VA, Chesterfield NJ, Philadelphia PA, Hershey PA, Manhattan NY, Raleigh NC.
The SV650 now has over 101,000 miles on it.

Reminds me of a trip I took a couple years ago. Hard rain on the highway is brutal on a naked bike! Loved the video 👍🏽

Oh dude i hate the rain, im so afraid to drop the bike at high speed because of it, sometimes a little accumulation can have you hidroplane over it. If it rains i don't ride, thankfully i live in the desert and also have a car. next week im driving my sv650x about 460km, its the start of spring here in Chile but the parts when you go near the ocean are cool as hell, even in the summer the cold ocean will keep things chilli here, so in some parts it will be 30c at 80 mph, and some others near the ocean 10c. The thing is im gonna do it in one afternoon, the highway is good enough to keep 100 mph except in the curves so with a few stops for rest and coffe i expect to do it in 5 hours.

Props to you for completing this journey! I've been curious about how riding a naked bike will be for highway use, but I think if you made a trip like this, I can live with it. I just have to ask, what wind deflector are you running up front?

Connor Wright thanks! It was a bit of a challenge given the weather, but I was able to manage. The wind deflector was a "custom" job made by yours truly. I had put the bike down previously, ruining everything up front. So I grabbed some sheet metal and made my own thing.
