(November 2022) This is a totally awesome vintage Fairhall elevator in Presser Hall at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. This is the third round elevator I've ridden and this by far is the coolest one. This elevator was installed by Fairhall, which is a company I don't know a lot about. The elevator is totally round and has two curved single slide doors, two car panels, and two indicators. Another thing you might notice is the very loud banging sounds while the car is moving. I believe that noise is the interlocks for the doors engaging as the car moves past each floor. In addition to the elevator, I take a walk down the stairs to show the floor layout and exterior of this unique elevator.
