I think that has to do with an announcement for BL4. Gamescom is around the corner, so maybe an announcement there? The only other time I can think of is The Game Awards
I expect borderlands 4 to be revealed either at the end credits of the movie or at gamescom. However, I don’t think this has anything to do with borderlands 4 as I think most of the movie is completely separate from the games.
Bl4 should not come out yet. In the past we’ve seen enough cases of games that should have had at least 2 more years in production before releasing and BL3 wasn’t an exception. Good games take their time and it’s just too early.
@aimbreak1461 I heard that borderlands 4 has had 6+ years of development so I feel it has had enough cooking time and it may be the time to reveal it.
This movie was clearly not made with the games actual lore in mind. Even the actors chosen to play these characters were a misstep. Kevin heart (height 5’2) playing Roland (height 5’11) Cate Blanchett (age 55) playing a 27 year old Tannis Jamie Lee Curtis (age 65) also playing a 27 year old Lilith These actors aren’t bad actors just not right for these parts. Even the tone of the movie trailer doesn’t match the tone of ANY of the games. It’s just forced comedy that with minimal to no effort in actually making this movie game lore accurate. Just people trying to make new content with no regard for what it actually is. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
This movie just needs to come out already because in the lead up every BL content creator has either gone down a tunnel of obnoxious and overbearing negativity or a tunnel of psychotic stabs in the dark for projections at future games. The community is in a weird, less friendly place than it used to be. I miss how fun and carefree it used to be.
I don't think so, because he said the movie is in a separate universe. Otherwise wouldn't maya be in it. It's supposed to be its own thing. We may not hear any meat bicycles Even once. There probably won't be people running around randomly saying things. Although that would make an awesome movie. I can hear with my Teeth.
Imo it’s too early for BL4 and they should take their time needed to finish the game and make ist as good as possible since I really fear new game releases nowadays
I think it would be better if Gearbox release a BL2 unreal engine 5 remake with some balance changes and maybe another LFFS-type dlc and then call it a day and keep the franchise as it should be left in peoples head. I don’t want my favorite franchise of all time to be ruined but I’m pretty pretty sure that if BL4 comes out this year or early 2025 already, it could be the death of the franchise after tales 2 did enough damage. Wich would really upset me so I hope bl4 will not come out in near future. Good games take their time and we’ve had enough cases in the last couple of years when games were released but they should have been in production for at least 2 more years. And BL3 was no exception the game didn’t come out finished and that’s not how it should be. I don’t want my favorite franchise to be killed. I love the games so much all of them except for tales 2 and I have at least 300 hours on every game and 1000 in bl3 but it took time to become what it is now, like cyberpunk and other games that were released too early.
Tbh with the whole multiverse dlc in 3 its possible its some other timeline but might have a post credits announcement or teaser. Be a waste not to imo.
Honestly, I figured the movie might be a pile of garbage but at the same time you have to know that this movie does not tie in with any of the games. Forget all the Lord forget everything you know about the borderlands franchise. This is supposed to be thing so it’s gonna be completely different and that’s why a lot of fans are upset, but I’m gonna go see it probably a few times because I have a few friends that want to go see it, and I’m gonna be getting drunk watching it🎉🎉🎉
