Hi Dan, I always like your videos in Montréal (I'm a Montrealer too). But seeing you enjoying the city is nice. I also follow all your travels and i appreciate the natural simplicity about you, the way you think and express yourself. Makes me proud to be Canadian. Keep up the good work.

This snow storm is nothing comparing to March 4th 1971 when I was 8 years old. On that day Montreal witness the ''Storm of the Century''. On that day 56 cm of snow fell on the city with winds up to 100 km/h. It was a ''White Hurricane''. Cars were abandonned on streets and highways for days. Snow removal trucks couldn't move to remove the snow because the wind kept blowing it back. For the first and only time ever in history the Montreal Metro system ran for 24hrs because it was the only way to travel in the city. Mayor Jean drapeau almost declared a ''State of Emergency'' that day. For the first time ever snow removal went on 24 hours a day non-stop. It took the city 2 weeks to remove all the snow.

Hi Dan, i'm watching from Thailand ! watching you taking a stroll in montreal makes me compare myself walking in a very humid and hot climate here ( just under 30 Celcius in night time) hahaha. Would love to see more of your videos about winter and life in montreal. Thanks

Learning to love the snow and the winter. As a Norwegian it really shouldn't be a problem, but winters here are still different from what I'm used to.

Different how? Just curious.

@@erickpalacios8904 Winters here are generally a lot colder than what I am used too where I come from in coastal Norway. Ice storms are a completely new phenomena to me. At the same time, Montreal is much further south than even southern Norway, and gets a lot more daylight, something I really enjoy. I have never really been a winter person, but I prefer the Montreal winter.

@@laupert9021that's a good perspective. Thank you. Most of the time we forget that Canada isn't the most southern place in the world. 😢

I will be there next week! Truly it's so beautiful, even with the snow because for us here in Vancouver when it snows the sky gets dark. Yet here everything is bright! Drivers move like it's summer too lol! Love how you stop to enjoy the moment. 😄

Montreal will get 8c and rain this weekend . Montreal is dryer than Toronto high humidity cold from Lake Ontario ... Montreal is the best city for winter sports and all season. . The Bike lanes are opened all winter with BIXI winter tires

Always nice to be able to walk anywhere and have all the services close by. In the suburbs, you need to take your car in these conditions and the snow removal is always a hassle.

Big snowfalls are so much more enjoyable in Montreal when you don't need to use a car to get around.

It's not cold yet, it's only like -5 degrees celcius. Wait until it goes down to -25 in January

The best thing about big snowfall like this is that weirdly more people walk around and let their car there. Maybe too much work or to enjoy the sight.... who know.

This snow in Montreal is a record for the past 40 years ... Statistically , Montreal gets a snow storm between December 14th and 23 rd... We had no snow last year ... Next Sunday ( dec 10 ) will be 8 c and rain... $ 200 million is spent to removal the snow every year

Дв. Как у нас в Москве. Ты не поверишь, но в сибири, там где я родился и вырос снега меньше чем у вас. Это Краснояский край, город Красноярск. Даже в Москве снега больше чем в у вас и в Красноярске.

It doesn't look very deep at all. Karma still has Quebec in its sights for later in the season.

While you doing your lovely Bike, Camera, Talk thing, at 7:41 I see a Church to your right and SCREAM...OMG...another 'Germanium' building / structure / architecture...WOW, WOW, WOW...! They were...EVERYWHERE...Canada is choc full of them...! Germaniums...! The Civlization before ours...! We are...Carbons...! They were...GERMANIUMS...! Those enemies of the Essenes of Dead Sea Scrolls...! They were not FLESH & BLOOD they wrote...! You will be doing a great service to Humanity if you wish and record all of those Greco - Romanesque, Gothic, Classic, Neo Classic blah blah blah buildings for the posterity...!
