I headed out to find some channel catfish and blue catfish to do a little evening fishing (it's a great time in the summer) and while I was driving around scanning for catfish on my fish finder the magic happened and the fish blew up, I happened on an epic bite just slaying the fish for a good while and even went in and picked up my wife and daughter so they could join in on the action. This is whack em and stack em fishing at it's finest. It's hot as blazes this summer in Texas and I have a new FISHBRERO also!

Fantastic video, awesome to see you and the girls get into the fish! I don't have much success with the thumper in shallow water, I normally use it on humps and structure between 20-80'. I normally thump targets like that hump with the thermocline around it to see if I can draw the fish to me. That is easier than trying to find the schools, if you find a few fish, you can make a school!

Ugly stick big water, tiger series, catfish rods, the salmon and steelhead rods for channel cats. The berkley big game rods. Bnm rods you can get offline or Wally world. Team catfish rods. And the new rods by ol Chad ferguson himself are good rods I'm sure if he uses them and puts his name behind them. He's a guide, and he relies day in and day out on quality dependable equipment. From the littlest of things, to biggest of things. You ain't gonna be a quality top notch guide by using junk. I promise you that. Most any rods you see tournament catfish anglers using is good enough then some for most any instance. Hard to beat ugly stick or Shakespeare. I might have misspoke earlier when I was speaking about the big water, tiger series, salmon steelhead rods. Shakespeare or ugly stick one makes em. I'm sure its ugly stick but I can't remember. My catfish striper rods are okuma battle cat rods. With okuma reels. But most folks dont want to spend that much money on catfish rods. Idk why. They'll spend 3 400 on bass rod or trout rod, or fly rod but what they really need the good tip and backbone for is your bigger harder fighting fish, and people don't go for it. Anyway. Good luck
