What's your perfect food?! Mine is sandwiches. I can't really describe it, they're just so awesome! In today's video I show you my three favorite vegan sandwich recipes. The best sandwich I’ve ever made is a BLT jacked up by using a garlic bread baguette as the bread and adding caramelized onions and goats cheese 🥰 I’m sure I could easily make it vegan and am excited to try!

I love goat cheese ....cheese is so hard to give up, but I mainly use vegan cheeses but still like my mozzarella, goat cheese, & fresco 😁

I just veganized my childhood tuna melt! I used hearts of palm and chickpeas (only for a little dose of protein). I think my kids love the vegan version more than I loved the non-vegan version as a kid!

My all time favorite sandwich is a French dip and if I’m wanting savory with a bit of sweet the Monte Cristo was always a go to. Also I love a toasted pub and pickle sandwich. Always raspberry jam for the slight tartness, IMO. TYFS, stay safe and healthy everyone ❤️

My all time favorite was from Newk's. I have not attempted a vegan version but maybe you could! It is the Newk's Q - sliced chicken, white BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese. The white BBQ sauce is everything.

My favorite sandwich is vegan grilled cheese. I use Chao cheese - creamy original with a rustic white bread. Slather the outer bread slices with vegan mayo to toast it up in the pan. Then have a side of marinara sauce to dip the sandwich in. So good.

I LOVE using Green Slice Foods deli alternative slices, with soy free Veganaise, vegan cheeze (I’ve used a lot brands and flavors), Grillo’s pickles, and gluten free bread from Aldi’s.

My all time Favorite sandwich was always roast beef and now thanks to Saucestache and whoever he got the recipe from, I can have a Delicious vegan version made with either soy skin or Daikon radish!!!

These look awesome!! I think the tuna-melt would be my favourite of these. But my all time favourite sandwhich is a mini baguette with marinated, slightly crispy tempeh, pickled cucumber and some really hot pepper sambal (the Suriname kind which is made with mme Jeanette peppers, or scottish bonnets). The marinade is, I believe, soysauce, ginger, tamarind paste and sugar or syrup, with a little kick of cayenne. Oh, could you make this?

I like a sandwich with peanut butter, a thin spread of date syrup and sliced banana. And one grilled with deli slices, vegan cheese and thyme. There was a sandwich place around here maybe ten years ago that had several vegan sandwiches, and my favorite there had a sun dried tomato, peanut, chickpea and pickled garlic spread (like chopped together, not like a hummus). Another place had a grilled focaccia with tapenade and sunflower seeds.... yeah, there really are some good vegan sandwiches out there that aren’t hummus. I’ve gotten a bit tired of hummus since it seems to be the default vegan sandwich at cafés.

I will never understand adding cheese to tuna. I would have never thought to use jackfruit though...I will definitely have to try that and see if I like that better than making "tuna" salad using chickpeas. Tuna salad is pretty much the only thing I miss after going vegetarian.

Lovely video! Am tempted to try the first one, however, I think I missed how you made the soy curls like chicken pieces. Is that on the blog somewhere? Because that would be a healthy and cheap option to get vegan chicken pieces, potentially also good to use in random other dishes like with pasta.

Just follow the instructions on the side of the bag of soy curls! Soak them, drain then season and cook as desired

I buy canned in water or brine and I rinse well and remove the hardest parts, I just separate it with my fingers

I live in Europe and they discontinued the faux tuna and shrimp that I loved. I also added crumbled nori into some shredded king mushrooms and built my normal tuna melt .. but it just wasn't the same. I've tried jackfruit twice and didn't care for the soft texture of it. I think I should have dried or baked or wrung it out or something first. Is the jackfruit that you used out of a can? Wet? Dry? Do you ever use the faux crab to make tuna sandwiches with? I saute my onions a bit first before incorporating it into my mixture otherwise they're too strong. Also, do you ever add sweet pickle relish to it? I'd like to see you make a sloppy Joe and/or a chili dog next. 🌹 P.S. you butter your bread exactly like I do!

I get my jackfruit in a can in water or brine then I pull it apart, rinse it well and squeeze our the access liquid, discarding the hard bits. Imitation crab is actually made of white fish so it isn't vegan. Relish would be tasty! Thanks for the comment!

Only thing missing from the toasted PB sandwich was some mini dark chocolate chips sprinkled in. My all time favorite sandwich? Yikes. Might sound boring but honest hummus, avocado and lots of veggies roasted and raw. I just pile on whatever I have including home grown sprouts

I used to do grilled peanutbutter and cheese, with lettuce. For some reason people are freaked out by the combo of cheese and peanutbutter, and I'm all, "Um, remember those cheese crackers with peanutbutter?" I am looking for the perfect Vegan cheeze for this.

Store bought chicken is easier to find here than soy curls. I have to drive so far to get soy curls at a Natural Grocers at the neighboring town. I usually end up stocking up. Why aren't they more popular with vegans? They're so versatile and cheap.
