It seems very hopeful for those whom preparing getting a teaching job in Korea. I thought the whole number of native teachers would decrease due to the pandemic which turned out kind of is steady regardless. some of my foreign friends shared their stories with me for Orientation thing and the region they're positioned are completely random based on the application summit date. hope your location be somewhere you expected. and I gotta say your video is great! good interactions with others and concise!
yeah the number of teachers accepted havent decreased!! so plenty of opportunities for those to teach abroad :) im in seoul so im pretty happy w my placement!! people can put a preference for a city so it’s not too random also thank u :))
Ahhh this video has made me way less nervous for my epic orientation next week! The demo is stressing me out a little and wondered how long the demo is for? Thank you for this and hope you've enjoyed your time in Seoul!
I just got my placement for Jeju so I’ll be there in a couple of weeks! But the orientation has me stressing because I can be such an awkward person 😅😅
omg youll b ok!! u can always talk to people from the kk gc beforehand (esp during quarantine when everyones bored) so its not so nerve-racking in person too :)
Hi!! I had a quick question about your apartment housing if you're able 2 answer. I'm moving to Korea for EPIK next month and I was wondering if all those kitchen tools/ decore/ plants & stuff came with your housing or if you packed it yourself :) I'm at a loss trying to pack for this move lmao
woo how exciting!! the teacher before me left the furniture, tools, plants, and decor!! it doesn't originally come w the apartment :o the only thing thats guaranteed is a bed, desk, and stove LOL some people come to empty apartments and some come to furnished apartments so it all depends ://
thank you :) they were a bit worried but overall supportive with me going abroad. koreas a lot safer than america in terms of covid so i don't think that part was much of a concern for them!
You have a lot of rice and egg🙆I'm from South Africa and rice usually goes with a curry you know😅I don't know, from what I'm seeing the food combination isn't the same😅 I guess I would have to adjust since I wanna apply as well. Thanks for the video sis
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! With regards to dinners or even the other meals, is it mandatory to eat, or can you just go back to your dorm or walk around the campus if you’re not hungry?
I have a quiz to asked Do EPIK accept online certificate?? Coz I will be finishing my course just remembered 5 weeks am am super excited 😊 and if they accept then I will start my application in summer I just can't wait to be in South Korea ❤️
your vids are great! been thinking about teaching in korea for a while now - just nervous because it's such a big step and i don't have any teaching experience. can't wait to see more on life and what its really like teaching! also - question... how do you pay for things over there? lol do you use won? your normal travel credit card from the states? a card epik gives? hahaha im so curious on the small things
a lot of people who come don't have teaching experience & it still works out!! :) working with children and education is actually v fun (...for the most part lmao) when you come over here, you set up a korean bank account (your salary is paid directly there) and so i use my credit card from that :)
Hello !! I hope you are doing well ! :D I had a question, your friends in the video, did you know them before moving to Korea or did you meet them there or through Epik?
Hi, quick question for you. In your orientation, were there any older teachers, or were most of the people mid-thirties and younger? (I've watched a few EPIK orientation videos and have only seen young people.) Thanks, and I hope that you're enjoying your time in Korea!
