I was fine with the dentist until today. They used Epinephrine and my heart was going so fast and I thought I was going to pass out. It was the most messed up thing ever. I am tired after that. Oi
@@markanderson77 I ended up being hospitalized after that comment from vomiting 22 times. I forgot I left this but this is the update. Hahaha. Not glad you have issues with it but I haven't spoke to anyone who actually does until now.
Oh mannnn, my doctor had to use it on two sticks twice, today. Hearing this now, I feel like I had a heart attack twice. I had to zone out and control my breathing..🥹 And it did NOT last long numbing wise nddd. Once it set in, it was covering only half of the tooth and irritating the bone on the other tooth. It was worse than being on a fast roller coaster ride, and my chest is still hurting. I’ve always had a thing for controlling my breathing, and taking deep breaths. As I also went Scuba diving, and having to be more aware of your surroundings. You have to control your breathing. After that, I was basically taking long deep breaths, into a big breathing rhythm of 4 deep breaths at once…after holding my breath. It felt mental.😭
Hi Drs, are there any good alternatives with no epinephrine shot for root canal for a molar 19? I have anxiety in general and i went to see an Endo for a root canal. About 10 seconds later my heart was beating really fast.
I had a mouth full of fillings from my youth. All my dentist ever gave me was novacaine. And, those fillings lasted into my 40s, when I had them pulled and replaced with composite. Today I had two of those replaced and had epinephrine. Huge mistake. I was tachy for an hour, though the whole procedure could have been done in 30 minutes with novacaine. Never again, ever.
Yea I suspect I was given epi for Pulp extirpation as I was hoping to have root canal treatment. But I was extremely anxious and started shaking. So I may just get the tooth out and go for bridge.😒
This lecture should be given to medical students!!! As a retired ICU RN and an unfortunate frequent flyer in the dental office this was quite informative !
