You can hear that there’s a lag in response too that’s not normal. I think David’s audio is 1-2 seconds behind Alison’s

I checked the version on Apple Podcasts and it’s synced up fine, so I’m not sure what happened to this video version to have it seem like they’re talking over each other!

Thanks! I knew I’d read something like this somewhere. I need it for now as I’ve a huge bunch (with roots!) and will be away for a few days. Heading to the kitchen to ‘bag’ my coriander. I’ll wash and save the roots in the freezer for separate use. They’re awesome too!

I will actually walk this back. I saw the comment about how there werent these issues on the audio version and gave it a listen. It's true. It's a lot easier to cut audio in and out so the conversation sounds fluid, as all podcasts do. That might be more difficult in video, I don't know I'm not an editor. The first example, where Alison jumps in to make a little comment about Davids advice giver needs to practice some self love. In the video it's just talking over David and David takes a second to realize and stops talking. In the audio version, the editor just cuts out Davids unfinished sentence and cuts in Alisons comment so it's much easier to hear. The magic of editing helps a lot. I'm curious if that didn't happen in the video because you can see mouths moving and therefore it's a challenge to cut out the audio of one person and now have it look weird. I'm sure they'll find the solution to that issue, like maybe a full screen cut to Alisons video so that you can clean up the trailing off on Davids and vice versa. Either way, it works much better on the audio versions (go figure it's a podcast) in this first episode. I'm sure the video versions will be just as clean in the future.

Exactly right! When I was in advertising, I thought what we did was important. It wasn’t, even remotely. It put a roof over our heads and food on the table and I got to work with amazingly talented people. People who teach, people who repair hearts, like the person who repaired mine, people who work in food-banks - they’re the people who really matter.
