Lighting subjects with a single light is EASY. Finding multiple ways to light a subject with ONLY one modifier, takes ingenuity. ;) (Equipment Used Listed Below.)
Here are 3 DIFFERENT ways I use a Parabolic Softbox to photograph men.

I love how you demonstrated your set tip in this video, not the drawing... the footage of setting up and positioning the model. The constant light in the parabolic was awesome!

Great Job Jeff, I plan on using the cheetah RiceBowl 90 or 120 to create that soft light , it seem to have that deep parabolic effect. I looking forward in seeing more episodes on lighting using a small flash of speedlight.

Great tutorial. I like Elinchrom, but I use with a Profoto strobe. Some may call this sacrilege to mix the two, but it works for me. :)

Amazing shot! Instantly subscribed. I have a question regarding the quality of light. On the first shot, why does the light fall off smoothly? Are there any nearby wall that the reflects as a fill light from the softbox?

Great video and I love the light. In your video you mention a large octabox as a substitute if you can't get the Westcott. Is an octabox of about 39 inch large enough in your opinion?

Thank you so much for this Jeff. One question about the 3rd and last setup (light from almost behind): With the head so close to the light, and the body much further away, it seems like, you would get several stops of falloff between head and belly: Did you fix this in post?

Markus Marschall I did not fix it in post. :) The resulting image required very little retouching.
