Personally, I find this plant to be very forgiving. After having it for a while, I monitor how the leaves look to see if it needs water. A couple of times it completely dried out and the leaves curled, some browned. I almost threw it out, but decided to water it well and see. Many of the leaves came back and I cut of the ones that didn’t. I would avoid letting this happen, but do rehydrate before throwing it out. I find this plant to be very resilient and it’s one of my favorite plants. LOVE ❤️ it

The heart leaf fern is one of my all time favourite ferns. I love their fronds and their ability to grow plantlets from the fronds.

Thank you so much I have been trying to figure out my plant name and care. It was going well over all...I looked it this morning an it was dry a bone and wilted severely Oops. I immediately watered it and to my happy surprise it bounced back in a couple of hours! So thankful ,and now I am on track :-)

I wish I'd watched this before I got my heart fern... :) I almost lost the plant - one minute it was adorable and healthy... the next it was a crispy critter. I was crushed because I'd only had it about a week and was so excited about it. I checked a few sites for some pointers and decided to try to save it. I watered it and started to mist it several times a day. After a couple of days a few of the leaves started to unfurl. Then I pruned it aggressively and now I have new growth. Phew!! I hated to give up on it. I just got another tiny heart fern and I'm excited to see how they do.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION on the beautiful heart leaf fern. I found my first one and then found one that kinda looked like the first one but different. Turns out I now have one of each. I just really appreciate someone being able to point out the difference, which you just did, again, thank you for sharing your information with us.

Ahhhh Does no one know these are piggyback plants? 2:09 That little fuzzy dot at the top of the stem, where it meets the leaf is a little clone, snip that leaf and plug it into the ground and that little clone will grow quite fast! You can make a million of these in a couple years if you try

странно что автор проигнорировала вас и пустя полгода ответила "не знаю" или он так размножается 🙈😅

Loved the video, I'm struggling with making mine happy so this was very helpful. 06:40 gassing off the hard tap water doesn't soften it by any means, it merely allows the chlorine & chloramines to gas off so there's no 'bleach' in the water. What makes it hard is the minerals which do not gas off, being that they are solids. A good substitute for soft water is Distilled or collected rainwater that is completely mineral free. Keep up the good work, was a fun & informative video!

Distilled water is not so good for plants if you use it for longer period of time. Distilled water is hypothonic, so it will try to "dilute" plants cells cytoplasm (cells will swell and could even rupture) also it could "pull out" minerals and organic compounds from them. Probably best is rain water, or you could boil your tap water and then let it cool down. If you tap water is really very hard, you could even find white sediments of minerals on the bottom of the bowl in which you boiled that water.

I've been wondering why one tall leaf had a brown underside while all my other leaves did not. Spores!!! Thank you so much for solving that mystery. Curious how to propegate this plant.
