I enjoyed this video... There were some very helpful tips. I make Latkes each year for all 3 of my daughter's classrooms. The freezin in a single layer and reheating tip is somthing I will try next year at Hanukkah.

Yer Bubbe is like my Babcia , and she makes the same food. Mine passed away a while ago, so seeing her and that food made me feel like she was in the kitchen again feeding me. You made me hungry and nearly made me cry. Thanks again.

Your food looks so delicious, bubbe! You help bring back memories of my best friend's(who's Jewish) grandma when I'd go to her house for Hanukkah. I was always accepted into their home like family even though I wasn't Jewish, but you cook from the heart like her bubbe. Here's to more warm cooking!

I made the potato Latkes this morning for breakfast, I forgot to put the egg in, but they turned out yummy anyway, I used onion powder instead of a fresh onion because I had leftover mashed potatoes from the ohter night, so I turned them into Latkes...you were right they taste delicious no matter what. Thanks Bubbe

Thanks much. She's with me everyday I know . And with your reminder of the food I grew up with , I'll be making my partner happy with rice kugle, Maybe an ep on that? My Babcia wasn't big on passing on recipes , sh e just said things like watch and learn. Which of course I did.

like anything else you have to be careful. keep your face back from the frying pan and just don't dump the spoonful of potato mixture too fast, just drop them carefully. In this way there will not be a big splash, causing the oil to splatter. -Bubbe

Have you tried my sweet and sour meatballs? Episode #3 - you can add extra spices such as a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat or try whatever spices you prefer in very small amounts to suit your taste, such as pepper, nutmeg, allspice, rosemary, etc. Let me know what your favorite combination is.

Made Bubbe's latkes the other night. I used a dark, nonstick pan, and my latkes come out dark. I will have to try to use a regular pan next time so mine will be nice and golden brown like hers. Miss you Bubbe, but I will always think of you when I make your latkes.
