Saddlebags, top cases, tour packs, or panniers. Whatever kind of motorcycle luggage you have that is attached to the bike, you should consider using liners with them. Pannier liners make packing, unpacking, and moving in and out of hotels and tents easier. Even if your hard luggage is easily removable from the bike, as most of the modern BMW panniers are, by using liners, you will protect the paint on them by not hauling them in and out of the place you are staying.
