Top Banker & Businessman, Dr Nigel Chanakira talks for the first time about the rise and fall of his bank, the challenges, the lessons and what the future holds
The DannyJShow is the best podcast in Zim right now? 🥇 DO YOU AGREE? For me, this was by far the best interview (without the drama)... This was just pure, insightful wisdom by mukoma Nigel - "2 days in prison" chat with RGM made me laugh! - indeed there is a reason everything and God wastes nothing." I wish you can bring more people like him. Magona mukoma Danny and team.
Grew up seeing Nigel Chanakira’s Father running a supermarket at Nyamweda growth-point. He grew up well, he has maintained that decency and humility throughout 👏🏾🙌🏼
This duo Denny and Becky have brought some stability to the show. The past few shows have shown maturity well guys. The mix between entertainment and business guests is awesome.
That issue of brother-ship really touched me, you really need people like that in your life. People who know you and are ready kukutsiura when you go sideways but are also ready to jump in your corner when kak hits the fan no questions asked. I lost my brother (we had been friends since form 3 in 1999) exactly a year ago, and its only now I realise kuti how much that guy meant to my life. RIP Tinashe I miss you dawg.
i have followed this man "nigel" through a lot of interviews and i never imagined i was ever going to see him on this platform. and i tell you what .... this has been the interview i have got the most information and inspiration from him. i really like the staff you guys are doing..... keep up the good work and trust me you guys now have a growing fanbase and i am proud to be one of those fans.
Becky you are great, however, it looks awkward when you are reading a guests bio from your phone. Research your guests extensively prior to them coming studio so that their bios roll off your tongue. Other than that, you are a fantastic addition to the podcast. All the best 😎
@@Flaviogee I agree that it is somewhat unscripted however, she did mention that she communicated with Mr Chanakira inviting him to the podcast. As soon as he agreed to come on the show, that is when she could have done some research on his biography for a smoother introduction. It is constructive criticism, not a beat down.
Yeah and that "Baba ava" comment was a bit disrespectful... I mean being casual in a podcast is cool but Becky was a bit unprofessional on this one, there's a time she skipped all the Kingdom accolades and successes and started talking about the banks end.. Denny had to be like " wait a minute hold up that's the end, we starting the interview ! " well Denny didn't say exactly that but his facial expression said it all. Having said all that, Becky's question on faith and whether Nigel didn't ever ask God why he has forsaken him even after naming the bank Kingdom, that was a smart question & it was answered well.
For a podcast it’s completely normal.Scripted podcasts require her not to do that but theirs is not scripted.I think they bring in a guest and go with the flow, they did the Sam Mataure one same thing. Read something about the interviewee and which ever way it goes. Denny saying .. that’s at end ..with their type of show, that’s part of the act. Life goes on with this type of podcast
Ummmm hamusi makunyanya here. How would you even remember all that, there is nothing wrong with having pointers on your phone even that bio also..... If you would have said she was asking questions from her phone maybe then could you only comment such but that's perfectly normal. We all don't have the same intellectual aptitude to grasp concepts and information at the rate you want her to operate. This is fine and normal
By far the best interview you guys have done thus far. Insightful indeed 🙌🏽. Bring more people like this♥️💪🏽….Welldone guys, you are winning 🥇 best podcast in Zim right now.
I loved it when the guest said "God wastes nothing..." that was a diamond in the rough. 2 days of prison turned the man into a prisons philanthropist. The context changed me. Do more of these such interviews kweete zvaanaJava zvisina .......
@@Flaviogee she thought just because she lived in the U.S she knew everything till Shadaya exposed her. She just a loud mouth and an empty headed girl. Glad she gone.
Loved the passion he displayed when he was on current economical issues.the hosts tried to tow the propaganda line but he was solid on his beliefs. I hope someone out there is listening.
I am 22 turning 23 this year i recently bought a stand i have one employee i think 24 year olds are still doing things given the current situation it only depends on how you're willing to push your works
@@oliverchipoyera i am buying and selling clothes from SA ..Bots and Zambia I started when i was in form 2 when my father died i did this in the name of helpin my mom out up to the point when she could just stay at home during the holidays and would take over by the time i was in form i was already trained and ready when i finished form 6 she helped me out n here i am now
I never knew Mr Chanakira is such a nice guy , he's a bundle of knowledge and such an inspiration. The show is a rising force Danny J , I like your maturity and calmness, the girl Becky is so humble and has huge potential 🙌 keep it 🔥🔥 my guy, we support u 💯% !! ONE LOVE !
Great show, have followed DR Nigel, for the past 10 years. Very humble guy who dosent shy about explaining his battles. Now to our felas ama 2k, dnt just follow those clows who make noise on social media and will not explain how they get their money. Stop that nonsense. Here is a zimbo who started a bank, sold his house borrowed and later. Made his mistakes which we are learning from. Great show guys, I propose, Mukoma Mataranyika the Nyaradzo guru, Tinashe Mutarisi Nash Paints. Mono Mukundu the producer. Charles Mabika.
i have been following this show from the onset. and I have to say, it keeps getting better! To date, the Chanakira and Tich Mataz shows are my top favorites. There was always something to take home from the shows, not that am taking anything away from the other guests.
Nigel has some RG vibes going on … much respect sir 🫡 . Beautiful show Denny. Becky gives the show some dignity and she is well exposed as well … keep it up sis!!
Nigel chanakira and Tich mataz are the best 2 interviews that i have seen on this show and i learnt a lot from these 2 interviews!!!!!!!!!!!!! please have more serious people like these 2 on the show
The way Nigel keeps calling their names shows how good and respectful he is. When you're such a person, life will automatically reward you🔥 kudos Mr Chanakira Keep it up Denny and Backy, we are both entertained and educated
Amazing show, always heard the media's version of the story it was great to hear it from the man himself. We can all learn a lot from Dr Chanakira...so many wisdom nuggets.
the best episode by far , love the switch to this quality of interviews , this is my business version of a spiritual father , i have been studying this man for decades , one of the best business minds to ever come out of the motherland
Day 1 fan of the show... im seeing it grow and the content as well is growing...was glued to this episode the whole 1.48 and didnt want it to end. much love
I'm so impressed by both Denny and Becky. They held up thier own in this podcast. I love how Denny build up the conversation with his line of questioning. Becky brings good vibes to the show. Well done guys.
Loving how the show is growing. You have always have the kind of flair that does it for me. The days of South Central at Ximex, that shop was for me, in terms of deco, was well ahead of its times, and outta of this zone (it was first world). I mean that reception desk/counter/ etc was epic.....the boot/hood and front grill of a car, that was DOPE. Makagara makapenga boys. And now you are bringing all that flair to this show. NICE one
This has been a fascinating discussion. I enjoyed every bit of it and will be watching it over and over again. Mr. Chanakira really bore his soul in this no holds barred conversation. I appreciate the insights. Cheers.
Brilliant interview, thank you for giving Nigel a platform to address so many unanswered questions and stories. Hats off to you Denny and Becky, you have earned a new subscriber today.
One of the best interviews I have ever watched. Well packaged questions from beginning to end. The Chanakiras were always highly respected members of our community and Nigel has helped extend that legacy further.Nice work Danny J, Becky K and team.
What a humble and educated individual he is. He deserves much respect. The way he is so passionate in what he does its in a different level. I would say this is the best episode so far that you have done in my own opinion. Well done to the crew Danny and Becky.
this cant be free, this is expensive staff from Nigel,Denny that was absolutely phenominal, haa ndanyara kuona this for free, ndanga ndichingobata homwe baba,i like each part when Nigel put it in venecular, special life and national lines man, very humble millionaire
I wish serious issues being discussed be aired to all Zimbabweans, the honest is something that will set our economy free. Political problem is the key to unlock the chain tangling Zimbabwe.
Mr Nigel thank you for sharing your experiences and opening our eyes in business aspects this was so beneficial see you on the mentorship program once again thank you so much for coming to the best Podcast show DENNY J, bravo 👏👏👏
Well done DennyJ show crew. This episode so informative and has an impact on the youths. It's so inspiring and i also like the fact that the interviewing skills have improved. Keep it up💯💯
Thank you Denny J this podcast is so inspiring and motivating. Am sure everyone that thinks education is useless has learned one or 2 ideas of how important it is to be well educated in spite of how our economy is like. You are never too old to set up new goals Mukoma Nigel you are a role model today I got so motivated God bless not less
Quality interview! I also still remember Making Money Make Sense. I respect Mr Chanakira as a pioneer who inspired me to think about how money can be invested!
BRAVO 👏👏 Denny and crew, this has become my favorite show, very educational and I have benefited a lot especially for my business and Becky the questions you we referring to other people with their businesses helped me get the answers thank you guys and please bring more of these people on the show mentors/business minded people etc who cares about lifting others up and giving hope/ideas to the citizens kwete kuzongodya ipwa on the show kkkk.
