We detail how we repaired our old pier and beam, stacked stone structural foundation on the original side of the home.
Here were the main steps.
1. Dug out and installed 13 concrete footers
2. Replaced stacked stone piers with concrete block piers
3. Used bottle jacks to support floor joists
4. Ripped out perimeter foundation structural beam rotted by termites
5. Replaced with a 4 ply 2x10 treated lumber beam
6. Installed remaining concrete block piers to support new structural beam
7. Installed block wall between piers to enclose crawlspace
When we realized we wouldn't be able to level the floor, we then opted to rip out and replace all of the floor joists, girders, and subfloor.
Voila!
A foundation and floor as good as new.
