Agree 💯 with Poup that Campbell should have kicked the field goal to go back up by 17 points. That one call changed momentum. From being down two scores instead of three scores mid 3rd quarter is huge.

I don’t get the blame on Campbell lol. 49ers weren’t getting stopped and they didn’t complete the 4th down bc of a drop. It was right call just a drop. Going for it on 4th down got them there in that big game. You don’t abandon you identity when you face a little adversity. The fumble was a bigger play than the 4th down.::

Alain Poupart's Tier 1 Quarterbacks (26:17) (not in order within tiers) Tier 1: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert, Matthew Stafford Tier 1 1/2: CJ Stroud, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy Tier 2: Dak Prescott, Kirk Cousins, Jalen Hurts, DeShaun Watson, Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield, Tua Tagovailoa, Derek Carr Tier 3: Russell Wilson, Sam Howell, Justin Fields, Kyler Murray, Geno Smith Tier 4: Mac Jones, Kenny Pickett, Aiden O'Connell, Daniel Jones, Desmond Riddler Incomplete: Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis I have some strong disagreements here. Lawrence & Herbert is belief at this point. The talent is there. We haven't seen it yet though come all together and produce meaningful wins. Putting them in that same echelon as Mahomes/Allen/Lamar/Burrow feels wildly disrespectful. I get the tier 1 1/2. The little we've seen has been VERY good but far too hasty to put them in Tier 1. They haven't shown any of the limitations many of the Tier 2 QBs have shown. I disagree with Baker ahead of Tua. I think Carr is comfortably Tier 3 at this point. Look at how Saints fans were fed up with him by the end of the year. Feels like his reputation hasn't caught up with him yet. I also find Geno & Kyler Murray to be underrated. Geno's done well in Seattle and while he's not a stud, he's better than a washed Wilson unquestionably. Kyler also has shown moments of pure magic. The doubts with him are obvious though as his small statue makes him fragile to injury. I'd personally go with the following.... The Undisputed Best: Patrick Mahomes Tier 1 QBs: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers High Ceiling QBs Still ???'s: CJ Stroud, Jordan Love, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence Tier 2: Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, Kirk Cousins, Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, Geno Smith, Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield Tier 3: DeShaun Watson, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, Will Levis Future Backups: Mac Jones, Sam Howell, Kenny Pickett, Daniel Jones, etc... Too Early: Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson

I wish, I could have found an article by Poupart, when I kept saying, the Dolphins should not pay Tannehill (2015). I got all kinds of hate on various Dolphins facebook groups. I, actually, wanted to trade Tannehill, prior to his rookie contract expiring . I never seen, what others, claimed to have seen. He was never going to take this team to the Super Bowl. Regardless, if he even had a better team around him. It was always others, who played just a little better. (A case of, this is why you have your Oline & defense set, then you get your Quarterback).

Any fan of this team loves Wilkins, but from a team building perspective, I don't see how we can justify paying 2 DT's $30 million a year when we're already paying Chubb, Ramsey, Armstead, and Tyreek top of the market money for their positions. Now, if you add all the free agents on this team, the players we're going to need just to fill the roster, the upcoming decisions, and the holes of the team, I don't see how it makes financial sense to keep Wilkins. It's easy for us to say "he needs to get paid" but realistically it's either sign Wilkins or fill multiple other holes on your roster. NFL owners meeting is on Orlando in March. I totally agree with Poupart, the 1st fg Campbell didn't attempt was borderline negligent, you go up by 3 scores there and who knows how the game turns out. The momentum changed full swing after that failed 4th down. Baker has taken 2 different teams to the divisional rd of the playoffs. Baker while not being the most accurate or talented, has some moxie and great intangibles that prop up his value. Daniel Jones didn't get his 5th year option picked up by the Giants and they just came off a playoff win and chose to extend Jones and franchise tag Barkley. While I don't agree with extending Jones, the Giants were in a weird situation where they had to choose to tag or extend 1 of those guys. They shoulda extended Barkley, but they had to make a decision.

Greg Jennings is tight on. I respect successful NFL player evaluations. Tua will not start for Miami within 1.5 years from today as he will be hurt as I said on draft day when Grier drabk the wrong Kool Aid yet again. I have it in writing orior to the draft “take Herbert 13 seasons 324 TDs HOF, Tua 5.5 years 86 Tds, if forced to draft from Bama take Hurts even in rd 1 as he is better than Tua” . That whole staff, was contingent on Parcells decisions. That is when Ross, should have wiped the slate clean. I can't for the life of me understand why Omar bashed staying with Tannekill for 7 years but more than willing to stay 7 with Tua. Critique Herbert for what has he done & being right but the same can be said about Tua. Ask yourself, what has Tua done to say he deserves another 3 years even with an out afterwards? The playoffs prove every year how far this franchise is from where it needs to be at the QB position.

People may not believe me but, I will stand on the belief that Sean Payton would sell the farm to get Tua. When he first went on Cowherds show and criticized Tua, he hadn’t actually watched and paid attention to Tua up to then, because he wasn’t coaching anymore. And that same week he criticized Tua, he watched him go out and have a phenomenal game, playing just like a left handed Drew Brees, against Baltimore and mounted 4th quarter comeback for the history books. And I challenge anyone on this earth to find a single video or article that has Sean Payton being critical of Tua since then. Even when he made his appearance on Cowherd’s show the following week, he went out of his way to avoid saying anything less than positive about Tua. And then he got to see Tua absolutely ball out on his Broncos earlier this season, and he never had a negative word to say about Tua the whole time. Trust me. Sean would give you Russel Wilson as a parting gift and pay his contract for you for the first 2 years. He knows exactly what his offense can be with a guy like Tua.

Seems like a nice guy and I'm rooting for him but he's just not the dude to lead the Fins to a championship. That said I put much more blame for the Fins playoff drought on Grier's poor drafting/decision making rather than any of the players. @moeazizi 6 месяцев назад
He's beaten winners in his 4 years whereas Tua has barely beaten 3. Herbert also has 3x as many 4th quarter comebacks, a ton more TD passes, completions and yards overall. He can make all the throws, Tua cannot. He is more mobile, can extend plays with his legs and can run like a deer whereas Tua's as slow as molasses. Herbert goes through his progressions and can read defenses, Tua's a one read QB. In fact, Tua's not even a one read QB because he's already decided where he's going with the ball in the huddle regardless if the receiver is open. Lucky for Tua he has the fastest receivers yet he still sucks.

So let me see if I get this straight.... Wins and losses don't count. Passer rating doesn't count. Passing yards and completion % apparently don't count either because those are also things Tua excels in. So what is the criteria, Poup? 6'5, 230 with a howitzer for an arm? That's it?? I swear this fan base (and Poup) act like 1995 WASN'T the last time a Dolphins QB made the damn Pro Bowl! Some of y'all weren't even alive in 1995! As a matter of fact, there's an entire generation of Dolphins fans who have NEVER seen a Dolphins QB make the Pro Bowl until Tua showed up, and now we're going to run his ass out of town?! Why? Cuz he hasn't won a Super Bowl yet?? Or a playoff game yet?? Last I checked you have to actually MAKE the playoffs BEFORE you can win one. And the ONLY way to make it into the playoffs is by WINNING enough games in the regular season. We'll, last I checked Tua is 34-19 as a starter (64%), including never having a losing season and consecutive playoff appearances in the last 2 years, not to mention all of the #'s he's put up. But let's get rid of him. Yeah. That's smart. Smdh.

Poop insisting you don’t pay Tua is comical…only because damn near every Tier Ii QB he named has gotten a long term deal, but for some reason Tua should be the exception.

Ross never hired a guy that was a Head Coach before because he wants to control the coach. He doesn't want a guy like Parcells that he's afraid of in the hallway. See Brian Flores. McDaniel has gone out of his way a few times saying how great of am owmer steve ross is in press conferences. Not a coincidence

eehhh.. we can't forget, that Stephen Ross tried to hire Jim Harbaugh. Which, we could assume, Ross would not try to control Jim Harbaugh. Ross luvs Jim Harbaugh, so he'd let him do what he would want to do. The issue is, no credible head coach, would coach with the Dolphins, for various reasons. Sadly, this team, has had that issue, way before Stephen Ross bought the team(after Coach Jimmy Johnson quit).

Well, to be honest, Fangio's body langauge, acted like he really didn't want to be here. Players will play hard, for a coach, who shows, that he really wants to coach the team, and show a good investment. Parcells, funny enough, acted like he really didn't want to be here either. If the Fins had gotten a younger Parcells, (when he took over the Jets), he would get the guys he wanted. Heaven knows, would any of these players, be, Parcells "kind of guys".

I want to put any QB behind our o line that allowed pressure up the middle and rarely did the D have to send extra players to get pressure. Lamar missed a ton of long throws and his accuracy isn't great but he can scramble . Tua didn't scramble alot and I have a feeling it was because the coaches didn't want him to. Lamar already had a knee injury last year how many more scrambles before the next. He chokes under pressure and had chances to carry the team and threw int.

Tua shouldn't be below Justin Herbert or Trevor Lawrence on on any list. Joe Burrow, Tua and Justin Herbert drafted in the same year and Tua had the most DUBS of the three. I don't care about the records of teams beaten. Irrelevant in the NFL. This isn't the joke that is college football where teams are selectively minimized. All DUBS in the NFL are created equal. My criteria for QBs is DUBS and Tua is 34-19, Joe Burrow 29-22 and Justin Herbert 30-32. Below 500 at 62 Mill/yr. Tua being 2nd tier on any list is DISRESPECTFUL. And Mike McDaniel please please please DO NOT listen to Poupart. Please continue to go for the GUSTO. Actually, you don't go enough. Please no more 5 gg games. Please Go for it more. Go Go Go! May I present to you a drafting analysis of every team from 2012 onwards. Which, coincidentally, is when Omar states Chris Grier took over drafting. Dolphins being one of the few teams over that time to get better than expected returns from their draft picks. This notion that Chris Grier is a particularly bad drafter seems to come from a narrow team specific POV versus a birds eye view of the whole league. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w649VE3ZCcQ.html
