@@alberthogue4543 Omar took a position with The Miami Herald, and he’s doing a podcast for them. But we appear as guests for each other, and in fact be on the lookout for Episode 324 …
Without a decent offensive line, you can't run the ball and that effects your passing game. Name me a legitimate playoff team with a poor offensive line.
I think that your big name players are the ones who win the regular games. I think the rest of your roster is what actually wins you the big moments and big games, because the best teams will take away your best players ability to be dominant, and the other guys are going to have to step it up and carry their weight in those moments.
This is crazy talk from Perkins. In college I play for a team that won three games out of 12 and we was ranked next to last in the nation all because our offensive line was injured and poorly coached yet we had skill position players everywhere The following season we went our division and go to a bowl game for the first time in school history All because of the office of line improvements a change in coaching at that position and nearly all of the same skill players. This was 2010 so it was a few years ago but we did not run a power I formation scheme. Nobody but Bama ran that
Perkins, they had legitimate starting offensive lineman during tannehill's time. Part of the reason he was always hit and sacked was cuz he had poor pocket presence and held onto the ball ridiculously long. It's the reason why they had a year we called them the unicorns. Also injuries did affect that offensive line making them play lower over the tenure of their time with the team. Chiefs ability to disrupt Tua along with the weather forced errant balls and an interception during critical situations this playoff run. Not to mention that the second rushing offense in the NFL couldn't even run for 50 yards...... Perkins please my guy.
Hey Alain, for what it's worth, I enjoy that you tend to forget to tell us to like/subscribe until later in the show. When it's first thing on a podcast I tend to dismiss it/not even hear it. When you say it, I'm engaged and always double check to make sure I liked the video.. I'm no video expert, just sharing my perspective!
Stop that shit POUP cutting Perk off while he was explaining, and you were wrong that's very disrespectful, you starting to act like Big Soft aka Big O 🤬
@@alldolphinspodcast when Perk was starting to talk about Tua and OBJ you cut him off because you thought he was going to say something else, shit look it up when Perk started talking about Tua's feelings about OBJ thats what the Hell I'm talking about
@@alldolphinspodcast 😂😂😂 Thanks it all good POUP just checking, just don't want you to turn into Big Soft aka Big O feel me, cause you are one my favorite SALUTE!
Perk is sounding like Omar! If you don't have a good running game, I can guarantee you that your interior O line play is probably most at fault! If you can't run between the tackles then it's hard to have a "good" running game!
All due respect to Perk, but he doesn’t seem to grasp the importance of the offensive line. If people come up the middle all game, like they were doing when Conor went down, you’re not going anywhere. Not to mention all your runs will be predictable if you contstanty run outside. You’ll beat some bad teams but but not the good teams. He seems to think because Grier has a cavalier approach to the oline that they’re not important. Controlling the line of scrimmage is essential, especially in December and January.
"didn't miss the playoffs because of IOL" Perkins, how the hell would you tangibly know that? OLines are pivotal to all playoff teams success. you can find Super Bowl winners without top of the league QBs. can't find one with subpar OLines and until i see the Dolphins OLine sustain their blocks for longer than 2secs with no quick passes, no chips, no max protection and more often then not successfully run block even in loaded boxes, Dolphins ain't winning a SuperBowl with that OLine. all Super Bowl winners possess OLines that can do that in the desperate moments. not being leaky at the worst moments.
RE: the Tyreek contract, while not technically an extension, it's a de facto 1 year extension. Previously the last year was at $45M with nothing guaranteed and all cap hit. Obviously the team was not going to let him play under those terms; it needed to either be restructured or he would have to be cut or traded. So it turns a fake contract year into a real one (it adds a year to the time he will actually play in Miami)
Grier had a good offseason for what? they haven't played a game yet. You guys don't act like pro reporters. Act like a couple of giddy school kids. Frre food from the Dolphins free entry to games probably free parking in that garbage lot. Fans get bent over while you cheerlead and cover up for this bull crap
On this day August 3, 2024 perkins said the interior offensive line will not be the reason the dolphins miss the playoffs or a playoff game dually noted
I was coming to notate this as well. God I hope one of them guards don't let a D tackle on a stunt or a blitzing backer come in and smash Tua, knocking him out of a the game like purdy...... I rather Perkins be right then I told you so.
That’s a bold statement about the interior o-line Perk. The play of the offensive line is key in every game. Poup said it perfectly, if the offensive line is performing poorly, it prevents the offense from being nearly as good as it could be. Just look at the Superbowl when the Chiefs lost to Brady and the Bucs. The o-line, particularly the interior, cost Mahomes and the Chiefs the game. As good as Mahomes is, he couldn’t overcome the deficiencies of the poor o-line play.
On every single offensive play they run against any defense they face there will be 1-2 mismatches every time utilize this speed. For that to happen Mikey d has to get to play in on time and allow Tua And this offense to make any needed adjustments at the line of scrimmage to create those mismatches. At the end of the day, at the end of the year, to be successful to do that you have to be physical upfront and that's where the question lies.
@@alldolphinspodcast Last year. Look it up .Do your job..Why was there no stories on him abusing his current wife and breaking the womans leg for showing him ip? Why did you bury those stories? He is a sociopath.. Said he was gonna behave after the marina incident.. He lied .Much less moron Grier telling you reporters he was "checked out" Which turned out to be BS.. Keep taking gifts free food from the Dolphins and covering up their mess. You have no credibility or integrity. They are screwing fans with your help. ..
Your right! I like Tyrek but the way this podcast don't hold him as accountable as they do Tua just confuse me. Then over glorify him I believe just to make Tua seem worse than he is. "Everything's Tua fault"
Tyreek almost single-handedly brought the fins back from 21 down to the Ravens in Baltimore 2 years ago. Tyreek snd Waddle give the fins an edge they haven’t had since the Duper/ Clayton years.
@@alldolphinspodcast That’s hilarious. Hold him to his word of him paying for it. Add an extra zero to the price for sentimental value. He can afford now. 🤣🤣🤣
Love Perk's point about calling penalties the same way for both teams and for the whole game/season.💯 Consistency is the key, players/teams will adjust to one call or the other. We should start calling Perk: Chris "The Brain" Perkins🧠 AP is a guru, that's way I watch all the time, so anyone who can add something that AP missed like the 17th O-linemen's name must be sharper than most💎
