Now look, this car looks way better and has way better build quality than any Tesla.

Thanks for watching and for comments! Yes it does. After returning it today to BMW, I got in my Model 3 and boy, does my Tesla feel so cheap compared to the BMW. The build quality and use of materials is so much more in the BMW than Tesla and driving them back-to-back, one can really tell. I love my Model 3 but man, there is something to be said with German build quality!

Notice how long the hood is and wasting all that extra space that could be part of the inside for passengers use. It does not need that space for safety. BMW cannot their history of designing vehicles and look to the future. Ev's don't need the huge hood and someone should add a space for a spare tire.

Thanks for watching! Yes it is a long hood and yes for a BEV don't really need all that space. However, the i4, i5 and i7 are all based on existing ICEV series chassis, so that is why the front is long in the i5 and i7. The iX is a different beast as it was designed from the ground up as an all-electric with it's own unique skateboard platform. Hence why is is not simply an x5 converted to an all-electric. BMW will start making more unique BEVs at some point and I am sure they will utilize features like less need for large engine bay, etc, in these new designs. Currently, pretty well all BEVs from BMW are ICEVs electrified, vs. unique platforms like the iX.
