The big thing I love about your podcast is teaching young women the importance of long lasting friendships. At 78, I totally know how important they are!!!!!

I’m 49 yrs old never been married no kids .. all my friends have included me over the years and the kids love me ! I’m their fav friend/Auntie and now that their grown they can talk to me about things !! I lv being that Auntie to them !! ❤❤🥰👍👍

I have a best friend (since kindergarten, and we're in our 50s now) who has 4 kids who think of me as their aunt. They invited me (at the time, single with no kids) to go on vacations with them several times. It was so fun, and I was so grateful for those memories! 😊🎉🏖

I love your podcast! (58 yo married 32yrs 3 kids) Yes to friendships lasting a lifetime! But some do and some don't, life will take you if different directions and you can't control all actions/reactions. Be true to yourself! re 1yr bday: don't stress the baby won't remember, they like the wrapping paper and box's best! so a good cake and lot's of laughs with baby making a mess will make you happiest. Again Yes to a reflection of good kids are good parents! You are not raising a boy you are raising a man, a man who will be good to his wife/children/family/workplace. I taught my kids to shake someones hand, look them and the eye and participate in the conversation. All the rest falls into place!

My husband and I don’t have kids and there was a time when we kind of stopped seeing friends who started having kids. And it was okay since we expected it. Now that the kids are in college, we’ve rekindled our friendships and started traveling together again! It’ll be fine Charissa. 😊

Do NOT feel pressure for his 1st birthday! He will not remember it ever and birthdays have become WAY over the top! Do not fall into that trap!!!

Don't pressure yourself about Mac's 1st birthday Erin, he won't remember anything of it. May be the pressure you feel is Peer pressure, The idea that "you have to" throw this kind of birthday and you "have to" spend 'X' amount of Dollars and have a lot of Adults/Kids in your home. In actual fact the best Birthday to give Mac is a few close family friends and Mum & Dad there. I have 4 children, For each of their first 2 - 3 birthdays it was just myself, my partner and my Kids and those I remember the most. they are now 37, 35, 30 and 25 and they remember NOTHING from that time. Early birthdays are really for the adults to 'Show' . . . as always Ladies, killing it. I love your friendship. My Best friend, Sean, has been my best friend for over 45 years. . . . . My Parents favorite thing to tell us, when we were young was "Manners cost you nothing but can give huge rewards" .

Charissa Is 100% correct getting boxed out with friends with kids. I’m a single 50 year old and for years loose touch with very close friends cause there kids have tons of things going on. And I totally get it. It will happen.

My 35 year old daughter does not want to have kids and she's realizing her friendships are going to change. All her girlfriends have kids. She's bummed but knows she needs to get to know other people.

In the real world people don't spend thousands of dollars on kid's birthdays....it's just ridiculous - what do they have to look forward to as they grow older?

Erin, I didn't go outside to check out the eclipse, because I know my goofy ass would have looked up thinking I can take a look. Charissa, I seen Daisy take a stroll across the screen and couldn't get a good look but is she a German Shepard?

I love your podcast but I used the married name is because I had children plus changing my last name with my nursing license being such a pain in the ass giving them divorce decree, birth certificate etc. it mainly cause the kids.

If the former couple have kids together - I can see why she would want to keep her surname to have the same last name as her kids. That really shouldn't be considered a negative thing or trying to hang on to the man. If they don't have kids together then totally different. Oh oops - I didn't listen long enough to hear Charissa's comment about kids.

You absolutely need to wash new clothes, sheets, etc. I had a horrible skin issue as a result of not doing that. I never ever use anything new without washing it first. You do not know who has tried them on or touched them; if they have a skin condition or have questionable hygiene, you can catch it. Ew! 🤮It's like going to the gym and not showering afterward or at least washing your hands. You have sat on benches that others have and touch items used by others. Gross!
