Great show as always Pup. I love it when Perk is on with you. He knows how to disagree with you without being disagreeable. It makes for a nice show. All in all, I really like your show and look forward to even though I disagree with you. I appreciate how well you respect your guests. I pray for your continued great successesd. 🙏
I think more than one thing can be true Poup. Tua was better at tucking in his chin and not as easy to be ragdolled. Out of the three times ( most likely) that he had a concussion, two of them were him purely not controlling his head and body all the way to the ground. But ultimately I agree that the biggest slice of the pie was him playing smarter. I just think the second most important thing was learning to fall (he got pushed to the ground s few times last year after the play and was fine)
“The market is the market”. The problem with that statement is…if I’m going to buy a Telsa Model S, I’ll be paying $80,000. I can buy a Tesla Model 3 for $40,000. There is a clear difference between the two models. I don’t have to pay $80,000 for a Model 3 just bc it’s a Tesla!! As a buyer, I’d be out of my mind to pay $80,000 for a Model 3 just bc the salesperson said “The market is the market for Teslas”. Tua is a Model 3 and his agent is trying to get the Model S price. They know this is likely the last opportunity to get Tua that kind of money so they’re trying to strike while the iron is hot. I’d hold out if I were the Dolphins. Let me rephrase. It’ll be idiotic for the Dolphins to give Tua a huge contract at this point. But that’s just the kind of Dolphin thing I expect.
@@Petestakes my point is HE’s not valued at a price of $50+ mill! And just because it’s a bad market doesn’t mean you pay Aston Martin prices for a Hyundai! A salesperson tells you ANY base model Hyundai is $100,000+, you balk at the price and he says “the market is the market”. Are buying the car??? You’re an idiot if you do. You don’t pay that high price “just bc it’s a car” when some cars for obvious reasons are WAY more expensive.
Dont want Tua playing 17 games anyway, he should be sitting out the last two due to bus already having AFC east title and a week off on wildcard week. #FinzUp #SaltyTua iz the realest .
Great show AP Love Perk❕️ Just because other teams over paid I.e. Daniel Jones and the Giants doesn't mean the Dolphins should To me, TUA= Baker Mayfield 💰 He can be salty as he wants. All that does is take away from things he does do great, i e. leadership, likeability. I have been a Dolphin fan longer than TUA had been alive, and frankly, I am only a fan of the Dolphin QB, which just so happens to be TUA. As much as i want everyone to get paid, i have to look out for my team, not him at a personal level. I have a hard time feeling bad for someone who balks at 30-35 million per year.
Yep tuck your chin and break fall. Tua had to learn how to fall. I even saw him doing a shoulder roll last year. The way he was falling his first few years without the attention he paid to it last year, I think he would have gotten hurt on some of those sacks (29)/knock downs(29+(?).
Tua isn’t even sure whether he needs to be 15 pounds heavier or lighter and we’re supposed to be sure of his play moving forward?? He can’t decide for himself whether to lose/gain weight from year to year and we’re supposed to be confident that he can make in-game reads/adjustments for himself?? We already knows he don’t which is why fans blame McDaniel for playcalling when the real problem is decision-making by the QB
I want a salty Tua because the nice happy Tua hasn’t won me anything not even a playoff game or important game in the regular season. He doesn’t deserve top 10 money.
Think the weight is a moot point , not like being fat would have stopped his head whipping on that play , think with his quick release , smarter decisions , martial arts and mobility will just make him better . Its not like Burrow is a big boy. Also the Swiss aint neutral no more lol. Reek need to understand that a large chunk of those contracts other WR are getting will get taken in taxes, FL has none
This is what happens when you coddle the feelings of Tua - he has an outsized feeling of importance. On the open market, he likely wouldn't make what he is asking for based on the result of his time here with the Dolphins. There are very real limits to this league's faith in Tua. This team and supporting cast is as an ideal situation Tua could ask for...Tua's agent needs to read the room and come to the reality that guarantees are a sore spot for a team that's not seen a playoff win yet, and a sore spot for a team that started with a full year on the sideline due to his hip injury. The Dolphins deserve a deal that insures the team is not sidelined if Tua injures himself by making a stupid decision to run instead of get rid of the ball. Tua has shown a propensity for "hero ball" where he holds the ball too long and takes stupid risks. Even after 2023, we have no guarantee he doesn't return to those type of bad decisions. If a portion of his paycheck rides on his ability to make wise decisions, is that really a bad thing for Tua? Seriously- I don't think the team wants to skimp if he's successful they'll pay, I think the sticking point is guarantees from a guy that hasn't delivered in the post season yet, but wants to be paid like he's a superbowl contender. The agent and Tua need a reality check. We paid Howard based on "potential" and got burnt. Don't expect a replay of that bad decision...if you're banking on those guarantees, I think Chris Grier is not going to budge and he's content to let you prove yourself this season while we make other plans... Tua better be ready for the spotlight because it's going to be pointed at him once things go sour.
Tua is represented by Ryan Williams and Austin Lyman of Athletes First. Christian Wilkins has same agency. Looks like same pattern. If Dolphins use 5th year option. He will need to ball out like Christian. Hold-in during camp. Comply when he has to when season begins. Free Agent next year. How many teams will bid for Tua? I think not many. Lots of QB's drafted this year. Does he get ragged doll with weight loss? Concussions? Or All Pro Season? Failure might get GM Chris Grier fired.
I am a Tua fan but I don't GAS if he is not happy. I am not happy that he cannot (yet?) win a big game. You're not the guy until you prove you're the guy.
@LKS-M9323 Under Flo the defense carried Tua and all he did was keep getting injured. Tua isn't a top 10 QB so let him play on the 5th year option. He will get paid because this organization has stupid people running it.
you are stupid son...Tua arrived with a hip diaclo x ation and was played a year too early...now you are seeing why they dragtwd him...Grier has done a great job to have a qinnning team..the club is on the rise ever since Tua arrived and Flores got marched...@moeaziz i
Again, Goff was 5 Playoff wins, 2 Conference Championship Games and a Superbowl Appearance.... Tua hasn't shown he can beat Good Teams in the Regular Season yet.... He's not better than Goff....
Tua is an all round middle of the pack to lower end QB, has some great traits/skills and many poor traits/skills. No way he is worth Goff money but neither is Goff, the market is the market as Tua says but all these huge contracts are madness.
Tua seemed annoyed and it is obvious he wants this to be over with. I get the impression that he's a possed the Dolphins are playing hard ball with him.
Do you think he's the 1 creating the drama? He's a polarizing player that everyone likes to hate or defend. Not his fault that everyone likes talking about his weight or arm strength. He works hard & seems to be a great young man trying to figure everything out at 26 years old. #MyQB
Clueless wannestedt loved fiedler so probably supported the non-superior quarterback pic of Drew Brees and he was defensive minded so j fletcher it was
The weight definitely helped Tua survive last season. I am afraid for Tua. I keep seeing that hit when his fingers were contorted. It was so frightening. I wish so badly that he would retire because if it should happen again, and it can, Tua could DIE on the field. It is like Tua narrowly survived a lion or bear attack and he decided to go back into the den. His wife should pressure him to retire.
Let Tua play out his contract. Let him test the market. I cannot think of one team that would sign him. He cannot play in cold weather and he has to play for a domed team. The only two possibilities are the Seahawks and I don't think they'll take him over Geno or the New York Giants, but that's cold weather. There are no teams in a league that would want him for the amount of money that he is demanding
With The 5th Pick in The 2020 NFL Draft The Miami Dolphins Will Regret Drafting Tua Tagovailoa, Weak Arm Injury Prone Quarterback From Alabama 🏥🏟🚌💨🏈🥋🧔🏾🗑🚮👀💯💯🙄😒
