I am a newer subscriber and have been watching your older podcasts. When I first started knitting I taught myself continental but was never very fluid, fast and my gauge was very loose. When I started knitting socks I taught myself to flick so my gauge wasn’t as loose. But I have always missed continental knitting. I would love to see how you knit from the over your shoulder view. Your knitting is so fluid and relaxing looking. I am really enjoying your videos! Thanks, Jennifer

Its a cold snowy Tuesday and I am happy I was able to spend some time with you and catch up on your knitting! You know you are a great knitter and not a failure by any means, right?!?! You have such a big heart and knit for so many people, no need to feel bad if you don't finish all the KALS. I am so glad to hear you are able to have housing options that allow your fur babies and I'm excited to see the cowl pattern released. happy knitting!

I enjoyed hearing about all of your knitting! The Bits and Bobs project might be something for me to look into as a stash buster. I have been intrigued by the Flexi Flips too.... keep us posted. As far as cabin fever? I completely get that..... my life every winter in Michigan!

We also move fairly often. When we moved to WA, we had a hard time finding a house that would allow two pets. So finally we found one that allowed one cat and just emailed the owner. "Hey, we are interested in renting but we have two cats. They're both older and don't have any destructive tendencies. Is there any way we could still rent your house?" And they were fine with it. So sometimes owners are willing to bend their stated restrictions if you ask politely.

I love your podcast. I have been binge watching the videos. I just started a podcast on RU-vid three months ago. I love watching more popular podcasters so I can learn from them, and I have definitely learned from you, my friend! Keep up the good work!

Happy to see you back. All of your ongoing projects look great. I'm not doing much selfish knitting or crochet. I'm making things for family members. I do have one or two things for me, but it's mainly for other people. I love your C2C blanket. I made one last year watching the Crochet Crowd. I learned to crochet 3 yrs. ago watching the crochet crowd. Congrats on 4,000 subscribers. This is probably an ignorant question, but what is wrong with german shepherds? I think they are wonderful dogs. Then again, I love all dogs.

My knitting goal for 2018 is to knit a pair of socks, I taught myself to knit 22 years ago, but never got around to making socks or sweater.😭😭 I crochet everything.😓😓😊. I knit a few scarfs and hats in 2017, but I HAVE to knit some socks!!!

I bet Wyatt would LOVE socks from the “ back to the future” yarn... or maybe another little stuffy 😀

Great podcast, Kay. I have a lot of socks >50 pairs, so I keep all my holiday socks separate and only wear them at that time!

The Lykke are the same as Knit Picks and Knitters Pride/Pro. I take them and put them in simmering water for about 30 seconds to soften them. You may have to do this if you let them sit for a while.

Thanks for posting about the Addi needles. I just got the last 2 size 1 sets on Amazon. Yay!

VlAugust is another month. I only wear holiday themed socks during those times only so they last longer. When I buy needles with curly cables, I put them in between a towel and steam them....not iron, just steam. I did not enjoyed the Lykke needles at all and gave the set to a friend.

I lived in Havelock 35 years ago while my husband was in the military.

So happy to watch again ! Glad everything is normal again. Now i wonder something... everything shut down due to snow but how did you get groceries ? Sorry if its a silly question i just wonder. Here in the Netherlands it hardly ever snows anymore. A few weeks ago they send one school class home because there was a snow storm coming and the teacher was living far away so they wanted her to be able to travel home safely. But thats it.... when there is snow and ice i can just walk to the store...

I use Magic Loop when I do thumbs on a glove. It is so easy!

I am going to try my first socks after being away from knitting for about 20 years, cuff down four needles. Wish me luck. I ordered magic cables?? I think to try. They look a little easier. I will see.
