How long is the working time that you have on that caulk to get everything aligned? Seems like a continuous-feed caulker would be more efficient than constantly swapping tubes. Does anyone make such a tool?
It seems like a tongue and groove type feature would make the walls more flush, air and water proof. And a stainless steal footing over the seal between the wall and the base to cover that crack would seem smart as well. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ This looks extremely expensive, with all the glue, guns, screws, nails, tools, cranes, etc. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
The bottom plate is anchored to the foundation by means of J hook anchor bolts. Sips are attached to the sides of the bottom plates. Much stronger connection than stick. Fabulous in seismic areas.
I don't have faith in chipboard plywood. I read that the glue fumes can cause respiratory problems and that it is not recommended that chipboard be installed in rec rooms for that reason.
Yes, I read that somewhere. However, if the surface is sealed with paint, then hopefully it would prevent fumes from escaping into the room? I don't know, perhaps someone does
