Episode 6, Review of the Benelli TnT 135! 

Best review on these bikes yet and I've watched a lot.

happy to see another wonderful episode you know how much I love this bike well done the channel is really taking off

Coming from the Grom world since 2014 and doing a lot of DIY and big bore testing and blowing up of engines, I find that I moved on to the 2020 tnt 135 that is a great platform to do a lot of neat upgrades to the engine. I have two Benelli tnt 135 2020 in Green and Red/white. I already replaced the battery to reduce weight with Lipo battery, replaced the exhaust system with black widow full pipes with amazon $49 muffler, replaced the sprockets from 15/36 OEM to 17/32. I found this combo of sprocket setup gave me th best of both world which is great take off at the stop light, lower rpm while maintaining a good speed such as 60mph and great top speed. The spark plug is also changed over to NGK CR7HIX. I do have in my parts box a Aracer mini-5 ECU, a DCR cam, and a 155 BBK kit from steady garage which uses Wiseco piston which I trust. The Aracer mini-5 was bought from Gear-Up which is a Vietnamese motorcycle vendor. My second benelli tnt 135 will get the CSC RX4 advanture motorcycle transplant motor with a lot of special parts coming from Las Vegas Benelli TNT bike builder and DIY tester who have already did a shake down test at 103 mph and still in 5th gear and did not go to 6th gear yet. Coming from Honda Grom world I was the highest posting person on HondaGrom.net and did a lot of how too with pictures on the Grom and now I’m on most Benelli tnt 135 facebook website. On the Grom website I my screen name was CiscoSanJose. Ride safe all and ride it like you stole it. Aloha

Sold me! Bought one yesterday and I love the way it looks and handles.

I'm at 3500 miles and other than the shifter setup this little bike is solid! I've made a few mods - mirrors, levers and shorter turn signals, but other than that I'm still stock. Enjoy your videos, keep 'em coming... RIDE ON!

Nice review... the TNT was in the running when I wanted to purchase a small bore bike. The inclusion of an oil filter, oil cooler, and another 10cc was a good selling point for that platform but I ultimately settled on the Honda Monkey. In the end, any small bore bike is a blast to ride... just puts a smile on my face every time I throw a leg over the Monkey...

Ssr is no amateur Chinese motorcycle company. Their build quality is top notch and by far the best motorcycle company in china, their price's reflect this as well. No doubt in my mind this bike will stand the test of time

I think the more shops start to carry Benelli bikes then the more popular they will become!

I bought one yesterday as my first bike over ordering the 2022 5-speed Grom. Driven 40 miles so far and absolutely love it. I bought a floor model so a Grom might've felt more solid at first but I think I made the right decision.

Wondered if you had any comments about the Kymco Spade 150. Got a 2019 model with only 527 miles on it in my area. Thinking of it as a first bike to continue practicing my skills since I haven't ridden since taking the MSF course. Being 5'10 and NOT in the lean category, I was hoping to find something larger like a Ninja 250, but there's just not much decent used inventory in my area. What is listed ends up being a seller who has either "misplaced" the title, selling it for "a friend", or it's back-taxed several years with an expired safety inspection (If you can't pay the nominal inspection fee and annual tax you probably aren't doing the service maintenance on the bike either). If you do find a decent one without a grossly inflated price tag, there's a waiting list of others wanting to look at that bike. I expect to keep the bike for a few months before moving up. Thanks.

i couldnt find a rack online so i got the welder out custom made now my Z125 Pro has a 32 L Ventura box on it, or put my upright bar on & my twin ventura bags 1 zips to the other over the pillion seat. an upright each side that bolts in on the bar behind the rear set foot pegs much stronger. my little grocery go getter errands & bills saves fuel in my car, it gets to 40 degrees celcius in summer so im getting an oil cooler.

Another great review it felt like I was cruising down the country road on the little Benelli. I’m pretty much sold on this bike mostly because I like the design of the engine with the oil cooler and pump and the 4 valve head it just seems to be well engineered. The bike is beautiful and husky looking for it’s size and I’m going to trust the Chinese on this one. I like different anyway everybody has a Honda and I’m used to pulling for the underdog it keeps things interesting… Thanks

I think it was in 2022 that the Grom went to a 5 speed. There have been problems with that. Not with every Grom, of course, but with enough of them.

The TNT 135 speedo is off by 11-13%. You are not doing 65 mph. Install the SpeedoDRD H1 and fix it. Works wonders. The stock tires are amazing on dry pavement and gravel. When the road is wet they are horrible!

I have purchased last tuesday . Happy as a dog Einhell two tails 😛 I’ve seen your vids ( oil change) and have some doubts . Not all filters has the center oring. Do you know if it must be fitted ? I bought the genuine one and it doesn’t come with. Regards from South America/ Chile 👍

If you don’t beat the shit out if it and break it in properly it will last just like everything else. People who complain generally beat the crap out of it day one. After 36 yrs of riding I’ve had failures with every brand unless they were brand new and I broke them in. OPP other people’s problems, that’s all you inherit when you buy used.

Such a life. 3 years ago Virginia were my home. But last 3 years I'm in Cambodia. Month ago I bought second hand Benelli TNT135 just for 400$, I'm not joking. The year of my tnt135 is 2016, super good condition. Week ago I had a hard skin burn from pipe. This happened because of I didn't oil kick stand. After riding I kick my kick stand and It was not fully opened. Bike started to feel down and my right leg was burned during I tried to ketch it. So, I want to recommend to wear pants always. Pants have to cover all of your leg skin. I was wearing the sport pants which is little shorter than my legs. Now I can't walk because of this burn.

Hey @Kraken's Garage & Adventures why would you throw your Levis in the Trash ? Cut them up and use them for shop rags.. I use my wore out T shirts ect for rags..

Anyone know if there is a relatively quiet aftermarket exhaust that would still use the stock tail section?

I absolutely love this bike I deleted my catt on it And holy crap what a difference on it Eric I wanted to ask u I messed with the speedometer a while ago and it threw it off from what I used to get doing full speed it used to get up to I think like 72 and now it only hits up to 55 top speed what do I do I watched a few of your videos on it and I tried them all and it didn't work

What’s a great tire pressure to keep the tires at?

I have seen a tnt135 do 100k kilometers so if you do maintain it you can have it last.

I am considering this bike for refreshing my basic skills as well as practicing some more advanced skills in an empty parking lot cos I have been off the saddle for well more than a decade and riding on public rd is not my thing. With that said, would you reckon this bike would fit for my purpose? I am also learning how to do maintenance for bikes from my friend and being a small single cylinder engine, it shouldn't be rocket science...

Benelli is Italian but they make their bikes in China just like Kawasaki has plants in the Philippines and Indonesia to me the benelli feels just as good as the grom or Z125 I like that the have a wider seat I feel too compact on the grom

I couldnt get one so i settled for a Kawasaki Z 125 Pro in green.

I got a Honda grom 2 years ago they are not made in Japan anymore , But somewhere else in the far east , And it was a complete pile of rubbish frame welds going rusty at 3 months old and only 70 miles on the clock , Honda coustmer service was terrible and I had to threaten to take them to court before they gave me a refund , Personally I now have a Suzuki for the back of my motorhome and very happy with it , Honda grom or a TNT ? Easy choice benelli every time . Honda definitely isn't what it used to be .

grom is 4k out the door(w/dealer fees), tnt is 3300 out the door. You,re saving 700 bucks if you don't buy a grom. It doesn't seem worth it for me personally to get a tnt135 with that has no history on reliability, cheap tires, the ride is harsher than the grom. By the time you do the upgrades your paying more than a grom. why?
