Synchro is my second favorite after XYZ. Its so easy to use. Just use 1 tuner and 1 or more non tuners that add up to the cards level. Missed this kind of simplicity 😭
WestCrook it's my favorite. I like xyz also, but I always thought (especially pre-arc v) that synchro was the must balanced of the summoning mechanics. They were a little harder to make then xyz but better than fusion. (plus if it didn't lock you out of fusion summoning until you had a synchro monster on board...)
I know of two other sub-categories of Synchro: Accel Synchro: Synchro-summoning during your opponent's turn using a card effect (eg. Accel Synchron, Crystron archetype). Graveyard Synchro: Technically not a true Synchro summon, since the Synchro monster in question is special summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing two monsters in the GY that have their combined levels equal to it. (eg. effect of Shiranui Spectralsword)
Tzolkin doesn't NEED a 5 or 6, it requires both monsters to be the same level and above 5. You could use Dragon Core Hexer and Blue-Eyes to make Tzolkin.
Jay Morales Actually Tzolkin came out way after xyz were a thing. It was only released in 2015, Dec 2014 in Japan, while xyz have been around since 2011. Its summoning condition is meant to reflect how it was summoned in the manga where a dark tuner was used to take levels away instead of adding to get to level 0.
Personally, I break Synchro-summoning down into three main catagories(and the Quasi-Xyz that Tzolkin and Bishbaalkin use). For me, those catagories are vanilla synchro(generally 1 Tuner+ 1 non-tuner, though some require more specific materials than others, ie; the aforementioned Beelze), Accel Synchro(Synchro Tuners plus Synchro non-tuners), and Double Synchro (2 Tuners plus one or more non-tuners. See Scar Red Nova Dragon) As for a synchro engine, I've been playing Legacy of the Duelist lately, and I tend to run an odd-eyes/Performage engine that lets me spam Lv7 and 8 dragon synchros turn after turn. It's good enough that I run Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode in the deck pretty reliably. Dunno how good the deck would be with the current banlist, ruleset, or meta, but at least it works in the game. I also found that Heiratics can make Tzolkin without too much difficulty if you run Labradoodle.
Even after all these years, Synchros are still my main go-to Extra Deck monsters. They're probably the most complicated summoning mechanic, but creating one is a lot like putting a puzzle together, which is interesting in its own way. But more than that, Synchros are endlessly versatile; you can make use of virtually any monster to summon them, including tokens. The other summoning mechanics tend to be way more restrictive and picky over what they need.
Doubt: when a card says that you can target special summoned monsters( Black rose moonlight dragon) it includes also synchro monsters that were synchro summoned right? And the effect of Blackwing Nothung that activates when it is special summoned can be also applied when it is synchro summoned being a synchro summon a special summon? HELP
A Synchro Summon is a specific type of special summon. Therefore if a monster gets his effect off when it is special summoned that would include Synchro Summon as well. There is no reason why it wouldn't.
Do the tuner and nontuner monsters have to add up exactly to the level of the synchro monster or can the summon still occur if the sum of the tributes is higher than the level of the synchro monster?
As for your next video idea; I personally would like to see your September 2017 Yugioh ban list predictions With a little explanation of why the card in question may get banned or even limited or semi limited. Also, some card that might be relevant enough at this point to basically either come off the ban list or back at 1 or 2. You know the experimental type of stuff. Anyway, I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the subject.
You couldn't just use the anime terms they work Accel Synchro Limit Over Accel Synchro Delta Accel Synchro And the special case is basically anything like Ultimaya
I used to love fusion sub. Then Zoodiacs went and took it hostage and now norden is banned because of them and I WANT ZOODIACS TO DIE ... even if it kills the consistency of my Lunalight deck D:
Jskdjd Shzbsd as a synchro player, I have to tell you that if a deck doesn't have long turns, it's either a bad deck or a simple deck. And if you haven't stopped my ten minute turn (which can be stopped easily) you either have a bad hand or a bad deck. And finally before you say anything about the glasscannon synchro decks you should meet zarc magicians. You will totally LOVE playing against them especially with their annoying trap card. Sorry for the ten minute comment.
Or perhaps you should play against zoodiacs instead. Thats a long-add turn deck that used to take a lot of time with a single turn and usually without even normal summon.
Alberto Oliboni no, it's not and so other mechanic as well. The game just slowed down and all you need to do is plan your strategy ahead to play the game nowadays. Beside, you can always use that synchro monster for link material and revive it on main monster zone. Simple. If you don't believe yet, see DDD
Alberto Oliboni psyframelord omega can be placed in main monster zone after banishing itself, therefore emptying the extra monster zone space so you can continue your combo. Get it?? There's so many video's about synchro combo in link format, all you need to do is change the playstyle
