This week we conclude the teardown, repair and cleaning of the 1967 Camaro bucket seat. We also look at some of the parts that are available from National Parts Depot for the restoration of the seats. We also show how to make repairs to the base.

Honestly Paky that Prep & Ready from POR15 is really easy. It blew us away just how easy it was.

Dean that is a tough one. seats are hard to come by in restoreable condition. Best bet would e to hit swap meets in your area or save up for the frames and such and get new ones from National Parts Depot.

We have more videos planed for Camaro. We've just had a time getting them in the shop or getting down to our friends shop to work on them. It is hard to figure what the cost will be. We'd recommend using the "kid before Christmas" approach: Get a National Parts Depot catalog make a list of every thing you will need, total the amount and add 40%. No that isn't a joke.

We have a '67 Camaro that we do work on some times but a full resto is tough right now since we have a garage chock-full-o-cars. BUT we recommend checking out TMI products line of Camaro sport seat buns and covers. They offer leather and very custom looking designs. Tell them that you heard about them from Autorestomod.

You didn't want to use electrolytic rust removal? It would save Vinnie some elbow grease (and work pretty well on the seat bases too). And if you had kept up on George's "Special T" he wouldn't have had to have the Dr. P.

So just give me an idea here, I have my 69 all torn down, the floors are good but most of the rest need attention, the engine and trans are good. What is a ball park figure on restoring this thing if I do most of it myself ? Needs new trunk floor rear quarters, radiator support panel. all the small stuff as well. thanks, great video, more stuff I needed to know. Jeff

When springs are rusted through, should you replace the whole spring or just sister in a new spring for a few zig-zags? Thanks,

Honestly, I'd want to replace the whole spring. My experience with replacing a section is it never feels "right" and will not hold.

I am going to do a resto rod on a 67 Camaro Ss. My cutomer wants interior in leather. Do you know where we can get that? Would we be better off to go with Corbeau street seats? They want this car like a new modern day camaro. They don't care about staying original. I'm thinking for really cruising a lot, they may be better and more comfortable changing the seats out, completely.

Or you could do it the easiest way, using an angle grinder+wire wheel+ glasses. It is the fastest method of all (i'm restoring my Opel rekord C, i've tried 'em all)

Is the por-15 full strength. I thought it was more like a paint

And yous should check into Dale Carnegie since name retention isn't your specialty. By the way, it's JEFF. And that video is nearly ten years old, and I'm still doing this Shane.
