Loving the pink socks, i keep saying i want to try knitting my first pair of socks. I total agree about frogging your jumper if its not what you want then dont spend any more time on it. Love the idea of destashing the yarn i'm sure someone would love it. Lets see WIP number 1 next video. Love your videos as always Martyn ❤

You are such a good Uncle! That lime green T Rex is going to be perfect! He's going to love it. The toft rams are so cute! Your shawl is looking good. Hurray on the socks being finished! I'm knitting the Flax Light sweater, in Madelinetosh in the color Esoteric. I love the fact I don't have to do short rows in this sweater! Love your videos and always look forward to seeing what you and Mark are doing. Love the sock dance!

spats are shoe covers that fancy up or make warmer a pair of plain shoes. the strap underneath is elastic to hold it snug to the shoe. I have always loved the look of them.

Let's dance definitely 😂 . With Marks pink socks you could follow Roxanne Richardson's advice for high insteps to give him more depth to get it on, say 20 to 22 reps of the slip stitch heel, so 20 to 22 gusset pick ups. You may then have to fiddle with your stitch count because of the pattern. Basically you measure from the mid of your outside heel to floor to find your required heel flap length. It was a game changer for fit for me x

Love the sock dances! I love that you have all the WIPs it makes me feel better about mine 😂. My choice are the pink socks and no 2 ❤

The list gets even shorter because unless they have hard deadlines for say gifting or testing, blankets and socks don't count as WIPs (I have been told and totally am on board with). Blankets are long-term projects and socks are just givens. 😎. Agree or not, but in case that relieves any anxiety...I usually look at the projects on Ravelry when doing dk socks to see how much others used for larger sizes. If using two fingering weights held double, they can come out at a lighter than dk weight than using a dk yarn and may use more than 100g for a pair. That may also be why you needed larger needles to meet gauge. You could always do the toes a different color if that works in the end? Or marl? I'm still on the MKAL train...hoping to arrive by this October 😂

It doesn't seem like you will have enough yarn for your blue socks, I would use the different lot for the toes of both socks. Pink socks for Mark first, he is still waiting for his sweater !!! I loved your sock dance. 💝

Love love loved your blog today you I always look forward to your vids Love the cross stitch kit but I can't cross stitch I can embroider hand stitch, slow stitch but cross stitch becomes ANGRY STITCH with me Love dinosaurs my daughter was obcessed with Dinosaurs as a little kid, love Gregor, you'd better make him now cos kids go off things so quickly xxx

I'd like to see more progress on Mark's argyle. Beyond that anything for the children as stuff for children always needs to be done asap as not only do they grow quick they change quickly too. Get things to them while the subject is hot. Love all the Toft stuff as always. Enjoyed the fun finish to the video. I'm giving the cable socks a miss, not being keen on cables on the foot. That pattern doesn't seem to be one that would look as good with just cabling on the leg. However, Spiral Splash socks are on the list.

I vote for 3! And pink socks 😁 I just finished off one of my two current WIPs while watching this episode so now I'm down to one project! I have a little pile of new yarn waiting for me for a crochet project though, so hopefully I can cast that on soon 😊 Lovely episode, great to see what you're up to and really nice to see your WIPs!

Hi Martyn, loving the sock dance. Before I forget. No. 5. You have been busy crafting. Finally managing to do a bit of knitting, but crocheting causes a bit too much pain. I'm almost finished with a pair of socks and I'm thinking my next project will be the Frisson wrap from Expression Fibres. I'm presuming you know they do a Friday feeble of a couple of patterns. One knit and one crochet. Belated birthday greetings to Mark. York is a lovely city to visit. Does Mark not drive or do you prefer to drive. Love both the socks but I think you should do the pink ones for mark it was his birthday recently and he's been so patient about his vest. Show us number 1 on the list

I would work on the blue socks so you could finish a sock and I think you should finish your MKAL. And then put the socks away for a bit and work on Mark’s jumper. Christmas will be here before you know it. Don’t give up on doing 2 MKAL kits though. This fall was unique (I hope) in having to redo section 1 three times. You would have been able to finish section 1 for both otherwise. And maybe section 2 as well.

I am so excited to watch you start your cross-stitch journey. Cross stitching is my first love. Aida is one of many types of fabrics used. Love all of your socks! That's what I mostly knit. Pure vanilla, but I hope to become more brave and start a patterned sock soon. Seeing your dolls also makes me want to learn to crochet. I need more hours in the day! ❤ Love your podcast. Xoxo susie

Pink socks, I’m worried they won’t fit. Love all your content, so interesting whichever Wip you choose. As a cross stitcher, always split the threads and put back together, keep your crosses all the same way and centre the Aida and start in the middle.

Wouldn’t it be fun to do a zoom thing with folks doing their spinning. We could all show off while sharing techniques and different roving and its sources. It could also include sources for spinning devices as well as pros and cons. Just a fun idea.

Congratulations in finishing the spiral socks. They are fantastic and appear to fit PERFECTLY! So far as which WIP you share: my preference is for whichever projects are bringing you joy - because it's always fun to see how excited you get about certain projects. On that topic - I too am excited about the Dino. I hope he loves it. Oh and congrats on no new wool except for the green for the specific project. Enjoy your week. I'm spending it pulling weeds and starting the garden.

You did say that Mark’s jumper was going to get done for sure… nice to see your Geogradient. (I always use stitch markers every 20 stitches or so to avoid missing stitches.) Before you know it, October will be here and MKAL 2024 will be here. And Easter is over so you missed the CAL. Didn’t you?

I think you should work on the pink socks first you just had new socks Mark needs new socks as he hasn't got a new jumper yet 😂 i would like to see WIP 3 I have 5 wips, a long term scrappy blanket and a spinning project im really trying to keep below 6 wips and it encourages me to finish things so i get to start something new

Congratulations Martyn! The socks are beautiful but I really enjoyed the sock dance the most!! Number 3 WIP please. I vote to finish the pink socks so Mark can see if they will fit (however the blue socks are probably quicker). Really great episode, as always, I do look forward to each one, love the weekly and I did miss the monthly wrap ups so thank you for working on bringing us up to date. Now the most important question…..is the dinosaur finished?? 😉🤣

I love the Mary Anning doll , Ammonite with Kate Winslet is a film about her life . Thank you for another great sock dance. Perhaps raffle the jumper (as is)you are going to frog towards your fund raiser, great opportunity for either a nearly complete jumper for someone or a bundle of yarn
