Question for Q and A - Thank you so much for your podcast. I love listening and learning from all of you. My question: I always hand sew my binding to the backs of my quilts. I have a lot of trouble with the thread breaking. I'm careful not to have too long of a thread (usually I use about 18"), I use good quality 100% cotton, 50 wt thread (Aurifil or Sulky) and have tried a variety of needles, most recently the Clover black/gold #10. I've even tried using Thread Magic. It's been really frustrating. Sometimes I actually switch to a poly thread to just get it done. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much.

Love this interview! I wish there were traditional quilts made with quick cutting and sewing methods... it is frustration to by books with beautiful patterns.. with 200 2.5 inch squares... 50 triangles... etc.. instead of cutting instructions for quick methods. I see it for modern quilts.. not civil war or 30's style... what do you think?
