This is it! Grand departure...sort of. I finally left on my grand adventure riding my small motorcycle around Indonesia. I had been planning to do this for a long time and only just managed to get it off the ground. This first leg of the trip is mainly a trial run on familiar ground as I have been living between Surabaya and Bali for the last few year so, I'm not out in the unknown yet. Travelling thought East Jawa reminded me why it's not one of my favourite places to ride. It seems like buses are out to get anyone brave enough (or foolish enough) to get on the road.
