My EcoTank input seems clogged. Will not take ink from the bottle on 3 colors. It has been 10 months since I filled so maybe dried inside of the fill port? Any suggestions? Love your videos.
2:00 "You can see there is lots of air...." Where? point to it (using something smaller than your finger) What am I supposed to be looking at when you say that? 2:11 "Hold this damper this way and insert a syringe and start sucking" Well, you are holding most of the damper out of frame, and we can't see your fingers.... How to hold it? And we can't see the syringe with the special cut on the tip at all.... HOW are we supposed to insert it? What role does the cut play?
I need to ask a stupid question. Before removing the tubes from the ink tank, do I need to empty the tanks first so the tank ink doesn't leak out? Thanks for your comment to those who have gone before.
Magenta nozzle seems to be so clogged up.. It's seems so hard to push the liquid through.. Everything else went smoothly.. I was oushing very slow and gently but tha magenta head print is so bad.. Any suggestions??
It just pushed back on same as with the other end. just have to line it up, I used tweasers to get a good grip on the hose and pushed it over the nipple
Thanks so much for this! When I first pulled the dampers, I noticed my cyan didn't appear to have nearly as much ink as the others. The cyan was my problem color. Your tips definitely helped me get the issue resolved.
Hey Kevin. I've changed my et 2710 from ink to sub. I extracted all ink. Cleaned catridges too with syringe. But I have an all lights flashing situatio . I've cleaned print heads and there are no clogs or blockages. There's new sub ink in the tank too. All lights still flash..I've checked waste pad too and perfectly fine. Just don't know how to get this too work.
I am having same issue as this person who wrote this in your comments I have done everything! Kevin, I have an Epson ET-2720 - The ink was low so I added new ink. After that I did a reset ink levels. Now the printer is not printing colors, what I mean is, it acts as though it is printing, runs through the cycle but the pages come out blank. This is what I have done... several nozzle checks, 3 head checks, I pulled the little plastic ink heads (not sure what they are called), I ran solution through them, I have re-primed the ink heads(dampers), I even sucked some of the ink out of the ink tanks to confirm they are not clogged. The printer is running right, no issues, it just won't print any of the colors. The nozzle checks are all blank, no ink on the page. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Follow this video and you should get ink out of the printhead. I haven't seen a printer won't print after this.
@@lorenagarcia7788 I had to repeat the process two times, it still didn’t work perfect after the first cleaning . So I left it for a couple of days and repeated the steps in The video and it slowly started working. Left it for a couple of days and then just started printing colour pages until it finally worked properly again. Now I make sure to print something every week even a test page
Hi Kevin, I have an ET-2710 and I did a change of ink, I removed the existing one and put the new one in, then I tried to print and nothing happened, no ink was coming out, I notices that by sucking the ink I just put in there is a lot of resistance and no ink comes out, what should I do in this case, do you have any videos so I can follow along o give me some guidance? I can't send you my printer as I am in the other side of the world! thank you!.
Did you ever figure this issue out. The same is happening to my ET16600. Kevin doesn't seem to respond to questions (only praise) in this platform, so I thought perhaps you might be able to suggest a resolution.
Happy this video came up. I was looking for how to charge/ prime epson 2720 ink. I changed the ink from sublimation to pigment. So had to clean the cartridges and tubes
Hi Kevin , I have ET-4750 and the tanks are dry and empty....cannot add ink as it seems there may be an airlock not allowing the ink to go in ? Help please ?
Hello from Germany, I just found your two video´s and my Epson ET15000 also has streaks when printing (cyan and black) and I cleaned everything yesterday because I thought that both nozzles were clogged. But then it was the same as with you, I I couldn't empty the tank because the syringe only sucked air out of the cartridges. So now I know what the problem is. So today I have to look again to see where the error in the tube is. I hope I can fix it because I use Subli ink and therefore no guarantee. But otherwise I'll try Epson and change the ink. Thank you for the great job I would be happy to report on the video whether my printer is printing nicely again.
Hi Kevin, I made a mistake and put the epson ink in my new ecotank 2850 rather than the sublimation that I intended the printer for. I removed the ink from the reservoirs but also thought I needed to from the dampers. Now I have a lot of air in them & can't get the ink to draw from the tubes to the damper. Does this require a special syringe tip? Using the blunt end is difficult to get a good seal to try drawing air out. Feeling desperate with a brand new printer! I have purchased the small green ones that screw onto the syringe but that doesn't seem to be working well.
I usually uninstall the printer (if you are PC person), then re-install the driver from computer. When I re-install, it asks me if I want to prime the printer, then it will suck the ink out of tanks until the printhead is full. Other than that, you can repeatly run head cleanings. Remember to shut off the printer for each 4 cleanings, otherwise the printer will think your printhead is damaged.
Hey Kevin 👋 are you able to self-clean Epson XP-4105 or WF-2850 waste ink pads? Both have user-replaceable maintenance boxes (part # C9344), but is it possible to self-clean or replace just the pads and reuse the same box without having to buy an entirely new one, the same as your ET-2750 maintenance box refresh guide? If so, which of the two printers would you recommend for quality/photo prints? Thanks!

I'm having the same issues with my epson f170. It's just out of warranty, I let it sit a couple of months working overtimes etc. I've made sure the ink is flowing and have half emptied my full tanks by priming. yellow is printing and no other colors. I have been searching so many videos and nothing is helping. I wish Kevin would answer you and me :)
I am having the exact same problem. The only thing I don’t want to try is a power clean but I’ve done everything else I can think of from every video. I pulled the ink through and it comes out but still nothing when I print just blank pages. Ugh it’s so frustrating. Wish I could fix this!!
@@susanjohnson5411 I ended up finding another video, BCH sells a special sized syringe for the 8550 that fits in the damper (where the ink tubes go in). I also got their ink + sublimation ink cleaner from the website also (green bottle). I put a paper towel folded up 3x under the print head and slowly trickled 2ml of cleaner thru each print head. The paper towel catches it and a lot comes out of the bottom so you want to change the paper towel every squirt. I fixed my printer this way
Man we have a brand new et 15000 we converted to ecosolvent and it will not print well. Half the colours wont print and the tests are all garbage. Have done likely too many cleanings in an attempt to get it going by now. Ugh. Gonna have to try this now.
@@tiffanyp6998 we got a new one and its doing the same thing again. Our area is very cool and i wo der if thats afdecting the ink. Brand new printer. Also new problem on this printer the printhead gets stuck on the hoses cause they jam up and stick out trapping the print head.
@@michaelgibson2163 wowza so sorry to hear. Epson wouldn't give me a new one under warranty. So I'm on my second deep clean.and of course that means ink waste tank is full 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️. I'm thinking it's just the ecosolvent ink..it dries really fast and therefore clogs. A friend's that uses hers daily had the same issue. Even with regular epson ink
@@tiffanyp6998 what does your friend do to resolve the drying ink issue? We are waiting on our 3rd printer now cause the printer head would jam on the hoses (totally unrelated problem) and are going to try a different brand of ink.
Hey there I can ask I will say I follow thos video to the t and was able to get to get to print pretty good. So I'm just going to make a habit of printing at least one thing a day in the morning and evenings. What ink are u using btw I'm using " E R" not sure we can say here lol but a brand from etsy
You don't have to. Sometimes the syringe tip pushes too deep and forms a perfect seal with what's inside. So if you cut off a little piece, you can always draw the ink, no matter how deep you push. In another way, if you found it too hard to draw, you can tilt the syringe a little.
