OMG I did your technique to my Epson WF 7720 and THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It has worked. I am no longer going insane on how to jumpstart my sublimation printer. This time, I will do daily printing just so I can keep the printer heads active.
THIS WORKS!!! Had an Epson WF-7210 sitting well for over 2 years. Ended up buying a new sublimation printer and let this one sit even longer before touching it. Decided to try and get it working again. Did hot water 2x Purged the cartridges 1x Realized I needed more ink 😅 Purged again 1x Printed blocks of CMYK and they came out perfect!!! Thanks a million to this tutorial. My black ink was not printing at all no matter how many times I print head clean it. I did the hot water soak 2 times followed by priming the line on each soak. Now its printing.. thank you so much. ❤️
OMG it worked. My Cayan stopped working last Friday. Well it was out of ink actually all of my cartridges were empty, not sure how they were printing. I did the steam method twice, and right before I printed I did the syringe thing in the Cayan only. I cleaned the print heads and then printed and it worked. Of course I have a little mess on my printout, but a couple of test prints will clear this up. I AM SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOUR YOU TUBE ON THIS!!! You know I am a follower now. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Tysm, I recently bought a used Epson ecotank printer off EBay and it probably wasn’t used in one or two years. I did the soak method (with cleaning solution instead), the air filling with the syringe, then two power cleanings (I know it can shorten the printer life but printhead cleanings only messed up the ink even more), which got it working again.
My Epson 7720 (for dye sub) was printing great except yellow. I took out the print head and cleaned but nothing. I soaked the head in water then pushed air through the cartridge and now I have lots of yellow. Thank you for sharing!!

I got nothing but blank pages no matter what I tried. I left my printer for about 6 months without printing anything. After 3 days of trying everything I stumbled across this video and you are a rock star! My printer is now printing and all colors are perfect! All I did was try the hot water once and ran the head cleaning. After that it printed perfectly. Many, many, many thanks to you!

Im hoping for the same results! I’ve already done the cleaning with the solution and no luck. It actually stopped printing ink period and finally back to the broken lines. Im trying the hot water method right now. I wanted to try the priming but i dont know how to remove the door to the ink carriage

Shit, I wish I found your video 3 days ago. I ended up returning my printer and have not replaced it yet. I was hesitant in buying another printer because it seemed It got clogged up so soon. I googled solutions today and your video popped up, I did the hot water twice then I pushed air thru the cartridges, then printed a purge page and it's working perfectly nowww!! Still it took my 3-4 pushes to bumb the black into the paper, the first 1-2 tries were with a very little link but the last one where I succeeded in pushing and felt the pressure against the push bumbed lot of ink into the paper and its unclogged now!!! Your 'fix' worked for me but I have a new issue. I have blobs of ink around the edges of my print. not sure how to fix that? is it the paper feed causing it or something else.?
You are awesome. I purchased the Printhead Cleaning Solution from Amazon and tried that and when i tried to print the pattern page, no ink showed up. Oh my goodness i really thought i had messed my printer up. Then i found this video today and i did all three suggestions right after i had did another printhead cleaning solution. My colors are back. I did a little happy dance lol. Thank you so much.

I was just about to give up on my WF7720 but tried your 3 things. Black still has a bit of an issue, but it's probably OK. but I wanted to ask about ink blobs on the edge of the paper when I first attempted. to print? will those clear up?
I bought an Epson Eco Tank 3 weeks ago but have had it unopened and debating returning it due to stories about having to print every week to keep it working. Glad I found your video now I have more confident to keep it and try these things if it clogs since it will be only for hobby use. I have a Workforce WF-7710. You are the best. I just tried your tip for addressing the issue of my color cartridges that would not print well. I did not have a syringe so I used a cotton swab to drop the hot water on the sponges. After letting it sit for a few minutes a print head cleaning and print nozzle cleaning did the trick. Thank you so very much.
Great advice here. May I add, Tip on printing the color purge sheet: delete the colors that you don't need to purge to avoid wasting those colors. And you find find a video on how to create your own purge sheet in Word by drawing the squares, no borders, fill colors in custom hex per video, size them according to how much you want to purge.
I had the same problem on my Epson XP5100 (no printing even with new cartridges), I tried all the possible fixes I could find on RU-vid, none of the fixes worked, I ended up trashing the printer, no more Epsons for me, probably going back to H-P.
I have an epson 2800. I printed a purge page and the blue is definitely clogged, the other colors came out great on the purge print. So when I take mine apart and add the hot water should I just add it to the blue section or all or it like you did? Thank you for your time.
Do you have any tricks for the ET printers that don't have cartridges? My cyan just will not print right no matter what I try. This video was great for cartridge printers.

Hi Debbie, I did the purge after many failed attempts at print head cleaning and 2 soaks and it came out great but after I did another print head cleaning and both my blue and my black are still not aligning. Do you know what else I can do? Mine sat for a year and I have done everything in this video.

My epson 7710 has been sitting for a few months started using it worked fine for 3 prints then down hill from there. I tried all of the above even changed print settings, paper, paper setting, purging, print head clean both on printer & manually, primed ink, soaking method still nothing. Am I missing something? Or time for a new printer? I've only had it since 2019 or 2020

I noticed your printer looks like mine it's a Epson 4830 are your refill. Carriages from eBay and do they NOT have chips. Does it print. Without the chips ? THANKS
My cartridges are from cosmos ink. They do have chips that reset themselves. So nothing special I need to do with them. Just refill the ink and keep going.
My 7710 has been sitting also for two years and I use it for subbing with Cosmo ink. I’ve been putting it off because I know my anxiety will go through the roof. I’m so glad I found this video. I’m going to try to do this in the next couple days. Fingers crossed!! My printer wasn’t used much so I hope this works. Thank you

Did a purge and my blue isn’t working at all. I think I need a different syringe. The head on mine is too large to fit in there properly. Heading to the store. Please let this work!!

I tried this with my Epson WF-2760. I am now getting nothing at all. It appears that no ink is flowing to the paper at all. I did Clean the Print head twice and then did Print Head Nozzle check. NADA. nothing at all. Not a happy camper. Sorry, didn't work for me
can i do this even when theres ink in the cartridge and am i putting the needle syringe in the airvent hole or ill filling ink? thanks, ive had several nozzle heads and print heading and i even purchased a different ink cartridge and still my magenta is printing like lavenderish light bluish color
Hello - Hello! Well, congratulations, because you have officially met anther person who hasn't used this printer in years....lol.... So, all I can do is scream! I am getting blank prints whenever I go to test page, check nozzles, clean printheads. Absolutely nothing is working. I am thinking maybe it's the cartridges? Looks like the ink dried out, and it's stuck in the cartridge?!?! So, my next move is to buy another set, all new set and go from there. Any other options?
Fantastic, day after day with quasar cleaner for to obtain very few results :( yuor method with only hot eater and air in the ink cartridges is the best of the best!!!!!! In a few minutes my epson is NEW
