This is daily maintenance it says. But what if you leave for a week? Should you do this cleaning after or before you print? or both? Also can you do this cleaning after you print and then leave for a week? I have many people say that you should never leave the printer as it will clog up very easily? Will a CISS help with clogging?
CISS does not help with clogging. It makes it easier to shake the ink by hand instead of shaking machine. Currently fighting clogged white & now cyan [white for 3 weeks now j cyan just today] 😞 took print head apart & deep cleaned but i think the clog is in the tan rubber lines. Now to install new lines. 🤦🏻 daily maintanence is a must. I just got lazy & skipped out on it for 5 days. Now trying to save this printer. Next step if it doesnt work is replacing print head for 168.00 😢
Can you please do a tutorial on how you installed the CISS used in this video, I watched all your other videos and this setup is different from your last ET8550 it’s amazing!!
hey you know you didnt have to remove your rollers, if you use yamation transfer paper, i converted my epson et 8500, without removing roller or tray, matter of fact all i did was switch the ink to dtf, the key is yamation transfer paper, the rollers dont affect it, they come out perfect everytime.
What size tubing are you using for removing waste and also ink from the printheads? Also what did you use for the output of your film (dimensions of that board) thanks!!! You give great info!
Dope vid...definitely gonna try this method. I see you decided to install a full ciss kit..is the trade off of using more white ink with the ciss less problematic than the default tanks? I planned to get a white tank with the motorized stir to avoid having to shake often.
Hi , thanks for taking the time to watch. Its still up in air, both have their pros and cons. The ciss uses significantly more ink than the original tanks tho.
can you help me. recently my 8550 starting doing something weird. the tubes that are leading towards the print head start to get kinda clumped together. causing an error. ive looked at the plastic protecting them and it seems fine so i dont understand why its doing it. ive even taped the tubes to the plastic to help but at times it still does it. also noticed now its printing a bit slower too.
Was thinking about converting an 8550 instead of buying an actual DTF printer, seems more cost effective ;) But!! I'm not sure I want all that maintenance. You said that's DAILY maintenance?! I don't mind weekly cleanings but dang! I've been doing shirts for several years now, just wanting to expand my options. Great vids!! Very informative!
you have some problem in print. i have a ET8550 and have more press in paper. sometimes show 8 lines in the print. and make sound rare. i send one video for help me please.
Thank you for the video. What type of cleaner you use and where did you purchase you ciss system? One other thing. Do have any other solution for the printer jam error. I tried all the tricks, nothing working.
An assortment but mainly Windex, from etsy but it's no longer available. Any color ciss will work. Its hard to say, there are a variety of reasons that could cause it. Try printing on the film outside of the rip software.
really appreciate these videos, ive been having an issue with my 8550 where large prints keep getting dripped on by black/white, you ever have this problem or know any possible solutions?
@@HangryMuscle Ive kinda solved the issue after taking up your tip to get a tile as the tray, works fairly great now just think my film bends to much, do you happen to know what film works without needing tape and what color/white ink settings you use in cadlink? Appreciate ya page a lot!
I converted this same printer a month ago. I am so stressed because it is having all sorts of problems. The large prints only print a line right down the middle. Everything smears. I have ran several power cleanings. Used solution to clean. Any suggestions???
I seen another video showing to take a damp paper towel and run it under the head. That is what I did. My prints look way better now but there are 2 areas that are smearing. How do I fix that?
@@HangryMuscle yeah I connected it with a USB. When I turn my printer on this morning I printed one picture out and it printed fine except for the little streak on the very bottom of it. so I reprinted it and it only printed down the middle again 😭 and I keep trying to print the same picture and it keeps printing only down the middle 🤷🏼♀️
What are you using the printer for, regular printing or DTF printing? If you're using the printer for DTF, you'll need to perform some sort of maintenance eventually, otherwise your prints will have lines or colors will be missing.
@@HangryMuscle Im sorry, I totally missed the DTF.....didn’t even know what that was until i just looked it up. I dont own this particular printer, and I have only printed photos, text and other documents .
I’m having the hardest time with trying to print an all white image. When it come out it look great but when I press the white blends into the shirt. What am I doing wrong?
What does your nozzle check look like? Are lines missing? May need to use more white ink or you may be curing too quickly before the ink has time to dry.
QUICK QUESTION HOMIE! SO MY EPSON DTF CONVERTED 8550 ISNT PRINTING THE WHITE INK( iNKED CLOGGED I THINK) , IS THIS THE MAINTAINCE THAT I NEED TO DO TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM.. I FUCKS WITH THE VIEO! ( I SUBSCIBED BY THE WAY)
Hi, I would need to troubleshoot your issue to assist you, you can sign up for a DTF coaching session on my website. *Please keep in mind most issues for new printers take about 30-40 minutes to troubleshoot and resolve www.hangrymuscle.com/products/dtf-technical-support-for-epson-et-8550-xp-15000-acrorip-50-hour
@@HangryMuscle i was trying to use the ciss i bought with my 15000 that died. The tubing is smaller on ciss though and won't go all the way over the damper tip. Is it ok or will it blow off?
Hey bro love the content. I’m running 8550 with acro rip and I just got a new batch of film from big boi and for some odd reason the printer is only printing a strip of the image down the middle of the film. I’ve tried several different remedies. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
Thank you both I will try as soon as I get home. My old film worked perfectly but I noticed the new film is more glossy and my old film was more like a matte finish not sure why but it's only printing a strip of the image right down the middle. I had a piece of old film and it prints the whole image fine so I'm guessing my printer doesn't like the new glossy film. Thank you both once again for the quick response.
So the tape worked for one print but now it's doing the same thing just a strip down the middle any other suggestions. I used blue painters tape. Does it have to be the wider one? Mine is only 1 inch wide.
@@HangryMuscle I was going to pay for A session but you don't the printer already hooked up bc mines is already converted i just need to install the software and see what the line i'm seeing just by printing one shirt and a few more questions. Will you still be able to assist me please comment 😃
Pass by.... 1. Do not clean with a cotton swab. The fluff will later combine with the DTF ink to contaminate the louver edges and cause air to clog the head. Use the one next to it to clean it. 2. The important thing is to install the white ink bottle agitator and the ink circulating device so that the white ink does not get clogged.
I don't, if you need help I have DTF coaching to assist you in getting setup and running. www.hangrymuscle.com/products/dtf-technical-support-for-epson-et-8550-xp-15000-acrorip-50-hour
