Would you recommend an external cyst system so that you could just shake the bottle? I am new to this I am just getting ready to set up my Epson 8550 and I’m trying to figure out if I should use an internal external take because I will not be using this every day, also any suggestions for storage and cleaning?
I just purchased a 8550 on yesterday and I'm confused about the waste tank. Do I have to have something that runs the ink out of the machine or do I just watch the waste tank that inside of the machine and empty it?
I have my colors set up like that. My white wasn't printing then i got rip software now its no white and my colors are black or dark and still no white. My wife think its the color set up but i set up mines like yours I need help. And do you have a paid help page ill pay
How do I get that black plastic covering the tank cartridges off? I feel like I need to shake them up. When I bake my prints, they look like the ink is separating 😩
Hi, its easier to rock the printer than take the tanks out and shake them. To get it off unscrew pretty much every on the front and top of the printer.
Method 1: You can drain the tank and then run a couple power cleans with cleaning solution. When you put the ink back in run a power clean to get ink back inside the printhead. Method 2: Open up the grey latch where ink valves are, lift the blue cap. There's a small valve underneath where the latch attaches to the printer. You can take a syringe filled with air, you'll need a small tube to get the syringe to fit on the valve., (the tube I use for external waste tank works great) Keep pushing air into that valve until you see the color return. Make sure to Place a paper towel underneath the printhead to catch the ink.
After pressing, my prints come out wrinkly in some parts, any idea what may cause this? I heat press at 320F for like 20 seconds. I reduced it to 305 and 15 seconds and it doesn't stick as good, but the wrinkle definitely decreased... my washes come out bad either way though. Any tips?
I think you're over curing the designs too long. Also make sure the film you're using isn't wrinkled. If you have tape on the film, remove it before curing the film. I haven't had any issues with washing. What film are you using?
@@HangryMuscle The curing may be it. I been using a heat gun to cure my films and that heats it unevenly. Sometimes it actually gets too hot in some spots and the film does wrinkle. I think I just need an oven to heat it evenly and accurately. I use A3 film, cold peel for DTF. I bought it in bulk for a cheaper price in alibaba. Im hoping it's not the film but it definitely sounds like my curing process is bad with me blasting my heat gun on some spots too long.
@@HangryMuscle I did that and put the press very low and it just would not cure. I did it for up to 10 minutes at one point. For reference I'm using the heat press GeoKnight DK20A. I'm thinking of just buying a small oven to get an accurate timing and heat temp each time.
@@limetuul When using the heatpress warm the bottom plate for a few minutes then put the film on and bring the top of the heatpress down close the design. I haven't used that one but should be same process
@@HangryMuscle my only worry is white in k requires shaking, and i have seen you shaking table to achieve this goal. do you think that much shaking is enough and never gave you any problems... since when i see white ink tanks with built in stirring motors, it kinds makes me feel worried that 8550 white ink might get lumps. have you had any such issues or i am just over thinking. thanks
how to set color I will order a black and white photo print, but the black will turn out dark blue when I set the color. other color set to 0 black 80 white 50 only print out white what should i do please teach or tell me how to do it thanks
The printer will not print without a maintenance box inserted in. I have an external waste tank connected to my maintenance box and I use a chip reset to reset the Maintenance box life when the printer says it needs to be replaced.

question? do you have to buy the rip to better work the printer? & can you add stirring thing for da white? but i suppose after all that its prolly best to buy a Dtf printer 😂😂 thought id ask
No I stopped doing that, pretty sure that is what killed my first printer. Too much cleaning solution left in overnight. Now I just leave the printer as is.

how do you get the image to print white over just the image and not a white square around it? ive made the background transparent but it still doesnt work.
