I have a question, I cannot get to the print set up part. Is it because of my computer? It’s an hp. I am however able to go on my settings manually on my printer.
ok, so for my entire life i was changing every setting under the sun to try to match my colors. never did i try to change the paper type was going to have such an effect. you are either a genuis or a crazy person. this is amazing.
Wow what a game changer. I have never seen anyone talk about changing the paper settings on the printer too. I purchased an ET 8550 and just was so disappointed that it didn't print bright stickers. If I could give you 10 thumbs up I would. The settings are a bit different on my Mac, than what you went through, but it was enough help to get me printing things right and my colors are now vibrant! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for this video. I got a new computer and the printing manager (or whatever it's called) changed a lot from the previous one and I couldn't figure out why it was printing so muted, I had all the settings in the highest quality and the printing wasn't coming out bright and vivid. I looked for the second "paper type" setting and it worked wonders. Thank you very much, you saved me from buying a more expensive printer. I have to add that I watched a lot of videos before yours, and nobody is talking about this. Once again, thank you for this.

As many other comments said YOU’RE A LIFE SAVEEEER. So so grateful for this you have no idea 😭 Because of this video I gave my printer another chance and it worked beautifully! I’m using my iPad and the same Epson printer to print my stickers so it was a struggle to find helpful videos. After a ton of cleanings I never thought it had to do with the printer settings. I just thought the printer dialogue in my iPad wasn’t good enough. Now I need to work with calibrating my cricut and I’ll finally have some good stickers to sell 😊

@EvasCarFreshies1 Update for ya, it worked, but it is true the paper better match otherwise it won't be the best, I got the et 2800, and one thing that has to be done is the manual customization of colors of saturation and contrast as sometimes the colors are too muted.

Girl, you saved me! I did a firmware update on my printer today and I started getting lines, I had to reinstall drivers and utilities and still got lines but I found your video and followed your step and bam problem solved, meltdown averted. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I have the same printer and first of all couldn't see anything cause my eyesight is bad, but just recently got some new glasses and was able to set my printer to wifi and then went in there and reset the paper settings and BAM!!!! The colors on my prints are absolutely amazing. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. I went crazy and tried this setting but my paper is glossy (koala 30lb - printer epson 2760) The print out turned out to be closer to the one I see on screen. Been using all the glossy setting and printouts came out darker. The presentation paper matte setting is the answer. Thanks a bunch!
I just came across this video while trying to search for new printers cuz my old one is acting up with the white lines. I already tried cleaning the printer heads multiple times and changing the ink cartridges and those didn't work. I have a Canon Pixma but thought I'd give it a go with your suggestions here. I used plain printing paper so the option I had is to just stick to "Plain paper" and put the Standard to "High". And the white lines are gone! The colors also look more vibrant. Thank you so much!! Hopefully this will work too when I print on semi glossy or glossy paper!

As a note, the printing instructions sent from the computer will always override the settings on the printer. Therefore it is not necessary to set up printing options on the printer. The printer will not print if you put a paper in the rear feed tray and you do not accept the new paper on the printer's screen. FYI
Very interesting because I found that on my printer regular paper setting works the best! Just regular paper - best quality and auto correct -off , sharpness- on
This was so helpful!!! I didn't know about the changing of the paper setting in the Cricut app. After playing around with it I found the correct setting for me. Since the presentation premium matte didn't work for my paper.
It looks much better but every time I do that, it leaves splatter on the edges! Thank you for the help, you have no idea how many times I went through align and head cleaning.
If I only want to print on regular paper.. will HIgh Quality setting will be sufficient to get the right color and no stripes? It is strange how Epson set this up like this, most of the consumer doesnt want or doesn't understand to setup printer, mainly the color should come out right out of the box.

The only options on my Mac are: envelope, photo, photo glossy paper, photo high gloss paper, photo matte paper, photo semi-gloss paper, plain paper, coated paper, and letterhead. Which do I choose on my Mac?

I would like to know how to save my paper settings on my Epson printer? I can set the type paper, but I ALWAYS get a warning that the printer and my computer requests do not match paper in the printer. My photoshop program doesn't have a choice for Premium Presentation so the closest I can get to is Photo Matte Paper...My epson does not let me save options. Please do a tutorial on setting up the Favorite Paper Settings (which I know how to do, but I can't access them easily) :(
Every printer different. I have the ET16600 and for example, the tray #2, where is the 11x17 size adjustments, doesn’t accept the Premium Presentation Matte or the Presentation Matte paper, Epson didn’t add those options on this printer, so the only best paper option you have on that tray is the High Quality paper, so for sublimation in wide format papers you can’t use Premiun matter paper.

I do have a question, do you know what settings are best for printing on gloss sticker paper, I've tried all the settings I can think of and it's like the ink is sitting on the paper in part !! Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏
The only printers that can make the best quality on glossy paper is the Photo Printers as they come with dedicated black photo dye based ink, as all other ones have only color as dye and black as pigment, pigments never really dry on glossy paper and result in messy smudge

What about if I’m having issues printing my own creations but not images I’ve bought from another designer? I rarely get lines when I print stuff I buy but if I edit their stuff to make it smaller or I create my own images, even when I save on high res 300dpi and best quality on my PC, I still get lines when I print my stuff.
Awesome setup tips…that’s the problem we’ve been having is are prints are coming out really light and lines sometimes in them..going to change our settings..we’re using a epson ET2850
It appears she’s using a Windows based computer. If that’s the case then your print settings/preferences may not show up the same on a Mac. Printer manufacturers are still discriminating against Mac users to this day. I worked around this issue by first getting a cheap Windows laptop just for my printing needs and then when color accuracy became an issue on that I then got Parallels to run on all of my Macs in order to download Windows print drivers for Epson and Canon. I hope this helps because YT doesn’t have a satisfactory answer for the print preference issues Mac users face. Believe me I’ve gone down that rabbit hole at least 100 times😢
@@DarqChildNYCit's the total opposite , apple is fighting against all printers companies because they want their own softwares and they ask for profit in exchange from companies sadly
My printer is new and when I go to preferences I don’t have what you have. I only have orientation and page order. If I go to advanced there are more options but not what you have at all. Any suggestions
I know this is old, but I am having the same issues. On an hp laptop trying to print to my epson ET-2760 and the colors are muted. My print preferences only offer paper: plain, photo glossy, photo matte and paper orientation... How do I get the full system dialog box? :(

I have messed with every setting possible. I am getting lines but not bold lines like you show. Mine are very close and not super noticeable unless you look closely. I know it has to be a certain setting to fix it because i have fixed before but i do not remember how i fixed it before.
