I did take note of that 8k peak when I first tried these but it's not as bad as it measures. Still noticed it though even before I saw the graph. One thing I like about the Q1 Pro is that it takes really well to EQ. You can tweak this thing to your heart's content.
My EW200 recently broke down, and i really liked its sound, would these EPZ Q1 Pro be able to replace these while giving me a new taste? Or should i go for the TRN Conch, since EPZ Q1 Pro and the EW200 both share the same sound signature (Harman)
From what i have read, the q1 pro are basically a less bright ew200... So i think you are gonna be fine (i have them, and overall are balance-bright in my opinion)
From the graph, it doesn't look like the treble will be tamed (very similar to ew200) Ew200 treble is quite sharp, but q1 pro is the opposite Interesting
711 couplers aren’t very reliable in higher frequencies. It would be interesting to see how it measures on a 5128. Also individual ear anatomy can also play a role in what frequencies are boosted from person to person
@@sidesaladaudio The Moondrop Lan and Salnotes Zero graph very similar even on the 5128 but people who heard both of those said that the Zero is brighter and more forward in the upper-mid, even in Crin's store, he put the Lan in the 'neutral' category and the zero in 'bright neutral'
