So far so good. Probably saved GM a couple dollars per vehicle not putting one in.

Yes, it seems to work well. I used 3/8 tubing. The parts store I was in didn't have a T big enough, so I used a 1/2 inch pex fitting. I had one left over from plumbing my house. It worked but was a little tight.

I would say the pcv will help it. It is hard to tell if you have blowby after adding the pcv valve since it goes in the oil cap. I do know oil usage is good now. Maybe uses half a quart per oil change.

What did you use as a connector for the brake line booster hose

It was blow by. It had it pretty bad.

@@lukeFugate I did hit 222430 today though when I bought it was at least a quart of not more low and it had 209 on it

No, the check valve should prevent that. I haven’t checked that though.

Yeah I plan on going camping soon. Was going to camp near where I was working recently but it kind of fell through.

You heard of cumberland falls state park in ky that a good place to camp.

Unfortunately, they removed the PCV on this vehicle and just engineered the small hole in the intake to do the job. It doesn't work very well as it clogs up easily. I wanted one in the valve cover, but didn't want to take it off and drill it out. Putting it in the oil cap gives the same result and keeps the valve cover intact. I know most vehicles do have it in the valve cover but they decided to try something new I guess. Hopefully, they went back to putting it where it belongs in subsequent models.

Good point. I should have shown that test again. It is better, but still has a little blowby. I think the rings are just worn some due to running with low oil. It runs fine, but it will make the paper wiggle a bit still.

It does help. I guess I just like the idea of having the pcv.
