I have the 800 from 21/2 yrs ago with 11 and 6 inch coils (5000 hrs). I have a first shipment 900 with those coils (1000 hrs). All 4 coils work the same on the 800 and 900. I just tested it to be sure. Something is not functioning correctly for you. good luck
My brand new Nox 700 had a horrible depth of about 1-2" after several hunts before I realized it wasn't doing much. Not only the depth but the readings were all over the place and couldn't be trusted. I returned it for the 900 which is obviously greater but mostly because the 700 was clearly defective, whether it was the 11" coil or the 700. I wonder if there's just bad coils out there.
Now You got me wanting to make a video with the 6inch coil on the 700 vs 600... I did not think I had any problems with it on the 700 when I used it in a playground. Now you have me thinking ..
That be interesting to find out. But you know that you’re getting more than 1/2 inch depth. I contacted minelab and have no response over. is my 900 bad or is the coil. It’s what I’m trying to get at the coil works on two other detectors will not work on the 900. So I have a coil I can’t sell to anyone that has a 900. but I can sell it to a 600 or 800 machine. Very frustrating.
@@makeitwork2650 Yeah it would be frustrating. Got me Curious to check out the coil on the 700 now.. Cause my plan it to use it on the 700. But it is the 600/800 coil. Thanks for sharing this info.. Peace
Im aware of this issue. The 6" that came with my 900 didnt work either. I had to send both the coil and the detector back in for replacement. Yesterday, I took my 15" coil out to the beach and it wasnt working at all. Im completely puzzled because I have used the 15" with it before and found an 1871 seated dime @ 2-4". Maybe it was malfunctioning also and just barely picking up a signal as you demonstrated. Im going to give Minelab a call today about it. Great video, dont listen to naysayers, something is wrong. I do love Minelab products regardless.
