For some reason the Bolt EUV interior looks a lot better; the buttons and both of the screens are match together better.

Why do I need the hatch to open if I have nothing in my hands? Seems like that would be a useful feature if I had my hands full.

What they don't tell you is that you have to subscribe to a monthly plan to have access to your maps and other infotainment features that comes standard in Hyundai and Kia group vehicles. For the extra 25bux a month infotainment access fee, you could get a much nicer vehicle that doesn't need a lifetime subscription to have access to basic features like maps. Also, you can't used Android Auto or Carplay because they disabled those. Also, you get 8 years of GM app access. Which you'll have to dish out another monthly fee to use basic app features once you're done paying for it. I'd imagine this is how a loan shark would program their vehicle.

So I can't stand behind my car without the trunk opening? I also like the button shift better on the Bolt EUV. The stalk shifter is like going backwards.

This mostly good information and a lot of it is well thought out. The black paint makes the car seems very generic, I’m not sure why they didn’t go with a the blue and white that is in most of the articles about the car. Not sure people need to know that you press a button to close the hatch.

Choosing a black car for the demonstration turned out to be a misstep by GM. Just look at all those tiny scratches marring the paint job! The tutorial video needs to be modified. Video 1- How to get into the car. Video 2- How to start the car. Video 3- How to adjust the side mirrors and possibly the rear video cam mirror. Video 4- How to adjust the seat. Video 5- How to adjust the AC/turn on heated Seat/heated steering wheel Video 6- How to turn on the music/radio and set direction. How to set the volume and tone settings. Video 7- How to check the range, tire pressure, and reset the trip odometer. Video 8- How to shift the car to drive/reverse/park/sports mode/other modes and how to change the camera view modes. Video 9- How to turn on the wipers. Video 10- How to lock the doors and how to turn off the car. . Video 11- How to open the liftgate. Video 12- How to charge the car (Level 1 (8-12 amps), Level 2, and DC charging) and how to read the blinking charge lights. Frankly, I think it is also a huge mistake for GM to remove Apple Carplay in the Blazer EV and Equinox EV. Why not let the buyers have the best of both world? Regardless, I cannot wait to test drive and possibly purchase/lease this car.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to flip the direction that you push the shifter for reverse and drive.

GM is going to sell at least a hundred of these things. Probably in fleet sales to municipal power companies.

Really wanted to get a Blazer EV this month, but no supercruise turned me off…yet equinox has it and front parking sensors lol.

The part about charging is misleading. Lots of public chargers are level 2. Level 3 aka DCFC is less common within cities and day to day and much more common along highways etc for use on longer road trips.

Just got equinox ev and really like it. However there is no one pedal drive in reverse (had it in my bolt euv). Why!?!?! Please fix this gm!!!

No Apple Carplay is the main reason I will be looking elsewhere for my first EV.

Equinox ev 108 mpge, hyundai ioniq5 114, kia ev6 117, tesla y 117, boltev 120. Sure, Koreans dont quality for tax credit, but you get whole lot more with Tesla. Chevy needs to get 139 mpge like Hyundai ioniq6 but in hatch form.

What? So, I need to open and close the front door before I can let a passenger into the rear door?

Yikes the paint looks rough.

The door closing sounded horrible, needs to thump not rattle.

just think for a moment if you had carplay the owner of the car wouldn't need to pay a subscription and download apps but they could instead just use their phone and wirelessly connect to the car .. this is the number one reason i will not be buying one .. put carplay back in the car and you will have a buyer

Very convoluted operation requirement regarding the drivetrain. I'm not sure some of the inept demographics who crave an affordable EV would or can operate this thing with any level of confidence much less competency to be a safe driver on our shared roads. Also it's titled "first drive" yet there was no driving to be found. My concern about competency extends beyond the potential buyers of this vehicle.

Doors sound like water tanks or dumpsters ... flush door handles are ugly and uncomfortable ... just a buzz

Repeat the door excersize at -20 with ice and snow. GenZ designers 😂 all you need is a moving bubble engulfing your vehicle at all times.

I hope they put some weight in those doors - she slammed it, and it sounded like an old trash can. Also, polish the vehicle before you film anything - this Equinox looks terrible with all the marks on the paint.

You should use a hottter youngggger model to show these cars off. That car finish is all scratched to heck. GM is using too soft of paint or something.
