I got pushback a couple weeks ago for saying Turkey wouldn't agree to Finnish and Swedish NATO membership. I'm also 99.9% sure that Hungary and France would also have some objections - though the latter wouldn't openly admit it. Logically, adding them to NATO is an unnecessary provocation that makes the alliance more likely to get dragged into a serious conflict and make NATO a lot less safe for member states, but I have a feeling that wasn't the biggest motivating factor for Erdogan's decision. Putin was one of the first world leaders to call Erdogan after the attempted coup in 2016 - a coup d'etat America probably played a role in organizing. And with EU membership dead in the water, there is little holding Turkish-Western relations together - it is a marriage of convenience at this point. This is part logical, part finesse and part revenge for Erdogan.

Scandinavian style, brutal but useful honesty is not always an appreciated style for diplomacy. But, it may actually work better for a more sincere relationship for a mutually secured future. The laws of conscience of the Turkish people also prevent states that protect and support terrorists from being accepted into NATO. This is'nt Erdogan's policy, but the Turkish people's political stance.

Broad support is not enough, under Article 10 it has to be unanimous and Turkey is not the only one that has objections just like there is no unanimous support for Ukraine's membership in the EU.

Turkey does have some legitimate concerns about Norway since they have openly supported the Kurdish PKK rebels in Turkey as well as also allegedly supporting Fettulah Gulen against the Turkish government. Turkey likely would have been kicked out of NATO over the S400 purchase other than for their strategic location to threaten the Russians from the South and their choke point on the Black Sea access.

Regarding Finland and EU: I'm from Helsinki. The current price of electricity is not stable and on the rise with all of the commodities and affairs such as supplies of what the stores and other businesses and enterprises sell and buy. We have seen a massive immigration wave over Finland and a massive production of neighbourhoods which also house the businesses of those companies that are, for example, the largest shareholders of a corporation conduct and house their people and ours for the very reason of running those businesses within and thus corrupting the economic stability of our country which also has been going down for the past decade. Hard times are coming and fast for mostly european countries for the conflicts that have arose and the trillions of dollars being spent and gained buy shady means and actions of corruption by the "too big to acceptably vanish" powerful eyes and now we are seeing these things causing damage for every species on this planet. For a larger action to take hold would mean a larger force of impact and impact is what the scarcity has caused and larger action has caused empowerment likely taken first by the Russian Confederation which on victory day took action to impact the swedes, finns and them to be seen as one; marching in front of putin holding their countries flags. I wouldn't have to tell you this but still im glad to do so and for the few who see this i can assure you that we have a great war soon upon us if the dominant forces keep wickedly thriving and secretively expanding; a force of which a race will get deviated from and deteriorate. I do not think that Finland is a problem in Turkey. The problem is the countries of Northern Europe in general, which speak loudly about human rights. Finland is active in human rights issues, but does so through international institutions. Finland rarely blames anyone directly.
