Either that or it was a real life character he made up when he would do wrestling in the back yard of his mansion with his "friends" (pretty sure Daddy Khan paid to have the neighborhood kids hang out with TK).
Tony has nowhere else to go. His internet presence (RU-vid) isn't big. No other network wants them, or they're going to measure them to the WWE in terms of presentation, ratings and following. The ratings are horrible. The attendance is like 80% less than any building holds. No one there save MFJ and Osprey can draw shit. Mercedes Moan couldn't draw money if she was handed a picture and a green pencil. The Lollipop Guild couldn't get $5.00 if they were fronted $4.99.
Seriously. Conrad acts like we give a damn what he thinks. I get he has provided the platform, that’s great. But we watch/listen for the actual hosts, not him.
Remember, before being put in charge of this major American media company, David Zaslav's claim to fame was that he created "Honey Boo Boo." Nice to see people finally catch on to what I've been saying for at least 2 years, Tony and Dixie are just the same, but it runs deeper. They're both money marks that want to hang out with wrestlers, and their rich parents funded their project to keep the incompetent kids away from the family business where they could do some real damage, figuring the money they were flushing away on the wrestling company was less than what the kid would cost the company if they were allowed a position there.
Mr. Bischoff you’re cracking me up with your critique on TK fumbling the purpose of an over run 😂. I completely agree. TK in the wrasslin’ business = amateur hour.
Btw, there was a drop of 100k in viewership on AEW Rampage, they went from 300k to 200k, if it keeps going this way, that show is gonna get cancelled. I Just feel bad for MJF, he is surely making millions of dollars, but he will be forgotten very fast with this creative team, if there is any.
@@JohnhNapolitano-wq1je mjf will go to wwe, where he will be miz 2.0 but if he is smart he will go to hollywood, i can see him as a bad guy in hollywood movies
Damn, I was 4. They lived in Braham MN for most of the 1980's which is a small town an hour north of Minneapolis. I have family that lives on the outskirts of Braham and we used to go into town almost every weekend. It's a basic Ma and Pa town with a gas station, bar, grocery/hardware store and a few other things including a bowling alley and Liquor store. It's a very peaceful town that I would love to live in!!
The best way to think of A.E.W is as a senior tour of the retired W.W.E wrestlers you liked from the past 20 years where they get to have fun & they wrestle jobbers (aew originals) oh & future W.W.E Superstar M.J.F. Its like when retired football /soccer players retire at 40 then go play sand Football / Soccer in their 50s.
So basically what TNA used to be? Which isn't a bad at all if they know their place. TNA from like 2005-2013 was great and I watched it religiously and rarely watched WWE. But, AEW thinks its WWE and its really not.
Except it’s not and it sucks because it’s full of random luchadores and njpw guys all randomly thrown together instead of making interesting stories for the vets
Eric, I knew your dad. Ken was so very nice to me. I spent a lot of time with him in his office on the corner of Cornelius Way and Thurston Ave. He was good to me, and even mentored me
When WBD's exclusive negotiation period passed, Khan needed to realize he needed to look elsewhere. It's starting to look like a repeat of Spike dumping TNA.
Main problem of AEW is Tony Khan, yes he's a terrible booker, terrible leader but fans could have continue to watch is show if Tony Khan wasn't a terrible human being who's toxic all the time and cries for stupid reason all the time. He's super delusional, lies all the time. People had enough, I HAD ENOUGH.
Eric, you are so awesome… you spoke my thoughts exactly in this video… especially when you mentioned Orange Cassidy, and how he put zero effort into his promo… I literally made a tweet about this as soon as it happened and called him out… it’s ridiculous
This is what AI says Yes, Eric Bischoff has made comments about Kevin Owens in the past. On his podcast, "83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff", he expressed doubts about Owens' potential in WWE, stating that he didn't think Owens had the charisma or physical presence to be a top star. Bischoff's exact words were: "I don't think Kevin Owens is gonna be anything in the WWE... I just don't think he's got the charisma, I don't think he's got the physical presence, I don't think he's got the 'it' factor." However, it's worth noting that Bischoff has also praised Owens' in-ring work and acknowledged his success in WWE, despite initial reservations. Owens has proven himself to be a talented and popular wrestler, winning multiple championships and earning a loyal fan base.
Sad to hear that Tony thinks the people trying to help him are trying to sabotage him. The only reason that people like Bischoff, Cornette, Russo etc. seem to be getting more hostile is because Tony isn't listening. Nobody (except for the less intelligent WWE fanboys) wants to see AEW go down like WCW did. It would be a massive blow to the business. All Tony needs to do to turn the ship around is hire a good booker, but he won't do it and we all know why. Tony needs to decide if he still wants AEW to exist as it is now, or if he wants to remain selfish and let it become a shell similar to what happened with TNA. Of course, his father could also lose patience and decide it should be sold off (to Shane McMahon perhaps.)
They can't use the excuse for the low ratings due to the Olympics. Because when the Olympics was on in 2021, they was doing 1 mill views on average. As a matter of fact, from July 18th to the middle of September in 2021 they was averaging 1 million views. It was their hottest year. Even though Tony ain't a good booker, the show was not booked the way the shows are booked now.
21 and 22 they had a run of great shows probably because punk was helping with the booking. I’d rather re-watch those episodes than the garbage they’re slopping out there now.
Eric is also here to make us aware of how things are probably being handled in AEW from a business standpoint and where things are not hitting the marks and when they are. 2500 for Dynamite? Ouch...
Tony simply can't take any constructive criticism. He's lashing out at fans online. You never see Vince do that when the show was stinking a few years ago due to his booking. Everything is great, super great and the best thing ever according to Tony.
Eric isn’t picking on KHANMAN,He makes outlandish statements that the interviewers never challenge him on. KI100,Jim and Eric are the only podcasts that question his BS.
Tony is a man -child raised with no accountability, where everything he ever wanted was at his fingertips. But his over all lack of business related decisions with any thought behind them is bound to find itself in the same place of his company's ratings..in the void of broken ideas of his wrestling fantasyland🎉
Word out now is that all AEW shows will be moving to Tru TV but they are rebranding Tru TV to TNT Sports for Tony Khan so in fact WCW Nitro lead by Eric "E Z E" Bischoff will have had more shows on TNT than AEW ran by Tony Khan
Not a fan of wrestling anymore, But if Tony Khan was in charge of spending someone else's money on a wrestling company like Bishoff did, WCW would still be going strong today! I think Eric would agree on that.
AEW sucks and so do the majority of its talent. I know people think MJF is something special but he’s a poor mans Shane Douglas and no one has ever been worse on the mic while being paid $$$ than Sasha “never drew a dime” Banks
As long as Tony has the final say re creative AEW will never hit the heights the could with a proper booker who knows how to write and produce compelling wrestling TV. Tony and his fantasy action figure indyferric booking style does not work for the North American wrestling fans. He needs to realize this before it is too late.
Good got, Eric. What is your obsession with Tony Khan and how do we get you over it? I feel like that’s all Eric has talked about for years now and it’s the same thing every week.
Their not 9 billion in debt as a whole. Their 38 billion in debt and the linear tv/cable division lost 9 billion in value. Their reach into homes has dropped from 82% in 2012 to 52% in 2024.
This is hard for me to listen to. I read Eric’s first book several times as I thought he was someone that really knew how entertainment worked. I looked at his book and lessons through his early podcasts as required material as I got into the entertainment field. Now, he can not separate his emotions from doing what his podcast is suppose to do, which is analyze the wrestling industry. He had a podcast about the business of the business and that fell apart as he couldn’t rise above his hate for one of the two main companies in the industry he was suppose to analyze from a bipartisan perspective. Now he has a show named after something spoken by Tony Khan and does nothing but badmouth him and his product. I’m not defending AEW, but it is hard to listen to Eric drop this far. He used to be one of the voices of reason with a real sense of credibility. He now sounds like a fanboy in a message board. Exactly who he used to criticize in the past. I’m embarrassed for him and I’ve lost respect for someone that I used to admire for his business accomplishments and accolades.
Hey Eric not sure if you read these but speaking of wb not wise choices look at their video game section of there business which is also failing because they are doubling down on live service model games. And even though they just lost millions on suicide squad they are still planning on making more games with the same business model i.e. half finished games with the rest of the content to be released at a later date through a pay wall and microtransactons.
Leave conrad off your show!!! I like what you said about tk "desperate". Sasha is awful on the mic, ok in the ring, terrible in shows. I guess that's why wwe didn't fight to hard to bring her back. aew is like my Tabasco sauce thats been sitting around, aew is the oil on the bottom and wwe is all the hot stuff on top. I have a question; why can't Cornette or yourself use grammar right? 😊 that question was from my 11 year old nephew
Tony Khan literally has an unlimited amount of money to “play”with. As long as daddy allows it that is. I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually paid WBD himself to keep that garbage on television. Instead of the other way around. Might be a better deal for WBD to take his money rather than take a chance at making anything off of AEW.
hello eric how are you big fan of your channel and also a huge randy savage fan..my question is back in 99/00 what made him change the look he had from the beautiful hat and jacket outfits to a stupid looking out fit to me.. with his hair pulled back both ears piercred that wasnt macho at all .i thought is he on drugs,i thought he was when i first seen him.with a new look as big as he was..i would love to have one of out fits he wore back in the day he was macho...i just wanted to know why he went to the look he went to..i thought it was bad touch on his part..macho has always been the coolest the best dressed intro to me and the warrior.i like alot of the older wrestlers..but this question im asking i couldnt never get a answer and yes wcw was the best because wwe didnt have anybody, i thank you for your time.
