I do and it was one of the best endings ever to an Ecw ppv show and I grew up watching all three brands WWF WCW and Ecw during the wars and I can honestly say Ecw was not only revolutionary but it was real there wasn't anything else like it at the time in the industry tbh my favorite wrestlers in Ecw were and still are Rvd and Sabu and I've legitimately met van dam he was so cool and he can still go today I have rewatched Ecw one night stand in 05 often and I defy any promotion at that time Tna wrestling included to say you weren't influenced by the og Ecw and to see it one last time was freaking epic

Funny how Eric talks about what you had to do to get an signal to watch ecw because I basically did that. I would have to stay up to like 2 am, switch my TV to antenna mode and then barely have the cable wire in the cable port to be able to get the channel that would play ecw

Well Eric deliberately stole talent to hurt ECW I.e Sandman & Mikey Whipwreck who clearly weren’t the right mould for WCW especially as they weren’t used properly. Plus Mike Awesome when he was ECW champion although they put in an injunction to stop Eric using it on Tv. Although he did poach Cruiserweights from ECW despite how much he denies it.

Ecw had the worst character names except for a few like Sabu Tommy dreamer Raven then you had stupid stuff like blue dust that was just a total turn off I think people only watched it because of the amount of blood

Funny how WCW poached a lot of talents like Jericho, Malenko, Psychosis, Rey Mysterio, Guerrero, Benoit etc as well as Raven also in the early days. Then took talents just to hurt them such as Sandman & Mikey Whipwreck plus the whole deal with Mike Awesome too. Plus WWE took talent from them too including the Dudley Boyz & Taz. It’s very small minded to think it was just blood and “hardcore” matches etc. it was so much more than that.

Self High Five sounds similar to Smells Like Teen Spirit but they are not the same. SHF contains no samples from SLTS at all and legally it is an original work. All those WCW themes are 100% legal. In the case of the themes that do contain samples from actual songs, for example Jeff Jarrett's Chosen One theme which samples Kid Rock's song Cowboy, it was because the artist was signed to one of Warner Music's labels, such as Atlantic Records in Kid Rock's case at the time. Either that or they just paid to use the whole song, as they did with Sting's theme Seek and Destroy by Metallica. All of it was 100% above board.

@Purist-dc4vk because it belongs to Warner Music and WWE would have had to pay them for the rights to use it - it wasn't included with the sale of WCW. WWE were hell bent on burying DDP so there was no way they were going to pay for his good theme and just gave him some generic jobber garbage instead.

I’ve always liked them both but as young kid into punk rock when I was younger naturally I loved ECW and became a lifelong Paul guy but as I’ve gotten older I finally understand and see the real impact and genius Eric has given to wrestling as a whole💯

You can tell Eric is lying through his teeth. Even as a kid in the 90's with no cable TV, I was a fan and watched ECW when I could and RVD was my favorite wrestler. I even had my parents buy ECW videotapes that me and my big brother watched. ECW had a videogame, their cassettes were in the video aisle right next to WWF and WCW. You can tell Eric is doing revisionist history in how he stole talent and did underhanded deals
